{Long way home}

I heard a scream so I started to run towards where it came from yeah guess we're doing this dumb ass investigation shit that always gets you killed but the scream sounded like Mya and I need to see if she's is okay if it's even her I thought this as I felt I had gotten closer to where the sound had come from

  SNAP

a twig snapped from under me. I step out to see Mya sobbing, with Maliea trying to make her feel better while Corbin and Finney stare at each other with disgusting looks 

"Hey.. breath in, breath out" Maliea said trying to calm Mya down. I slowly walked over to them, squatting down and placing my hand on Mya's shoulder. Mya started to calm down a few minutes later. A pain-filled groan came out with some more tears rolling down her face. To her pointing at her side where there was a rip in her shirt which was soaked in blood at that corner and a gash of blood where you couldn't tell what the injury was. 

"Yo what happened" Finney called over 

"OH SHIT" I called out as I hopped up I tried to get Mya up as fast as she could go. I grabbed her hand and started to speed walk so we could get her back and patched up pretty quickly. We all reached the bus stop in under 30 minutes, waiting for the bus to arrive, as soon as it arrived we all piled in and took seats. Mya and I sat two seats back from the front of the bus, with Corbin across from us and Maliea and Finney behind Corbin. 

Reaching the hospital in less than 10 minutes, we all piled into the waiting room me and mya took a seat while Maliea and Corbin tried to get us in. Finney said that he wanted to go home so he was now on the way back to the apartments. 

The lady behind the desk took one look at me and Mya and gave Maliea and Corbin a signalization to give her a minute by holding up one of her fingers and then turning to a lady next to her and saying something then a minute or so later three ladies came hurrying out with a wheelchair helping Mya onto it hurting back to the rooms, Me, Maliea and Corbin all try to go but the lady at the desk started talking 

"One of you are going to have to stay behind and answer some questions" Maliea looked at me and Corbin 

 "I've known her the longest" Maliea said as she walked over to the front desk to talk to the lady. Me and Corbin quickly into room 107 to see Mya being placed onto the bed. A nurse walked over placing a probe on her finger, 

"so who are you guys to her?" she asked, 

"I'm her boyfriend, and that's her friend my twin brother." I answer with a chip in my tone. 

"Her best friend should be coming any minute now," I said after a minute or so. Maliea burst into the room 

 "Sorry, sorry" her breath hicked. She looked modified looking at Mya laying on the bed breathing slowly but trying to catch air, 

"I am going to have to take her shirt off so we can see the damage underneath" the nurse blurted while grabbing a pair of gloves. We all flood out and stand in the hall waiting. The nurse called us back in, Mya's shirt was rolled up the cut was almost eight inches long. Mya looked like she was on the verge of passing out as her mom burst into the room 

"OH MY GOD" she gasped as she saw her daughter laying there chasing her breath and trying not to pass out, Mya's mom walked over to the bed, 

"breath honey, it's okay, just breath" she said as place her hand onto Mya's shoulder. The nurse grabbed stuff to start cleaning up the cut and bandaging it. the nurse started to put water on a washcloth to clean around the cut whipping the blood, changing the cloth, and putting rubbing alcohol onto the cloth, now dabbing the cloth onto the cut. 

"Oh lord, this cut is deep," she murmured while continuing to clean the blood out of the cut, after it started to bleed more she kept whipping and dabbing it and she finally wrapped the cut. 

"I just need to grab the papers for you to sign and you guys can leave!" the nurse announced then left the room. 

"What happened!?" Mya's mom asked standing up and looking at us all with sadness in her eyes, Maliea tried to explain that someone tried to kill us and stabbed Mya, I looked down at Mya in the hospital bed breathing quickly Im ready for this to be over I sighed as I looked over at Corbin. I head over to the door 

"Corbin, im going to call Mom to pick us up." I called over, waving my hand for him to hurry up. I pause at the door turned back around and walked to the bed, bending down to kiss Mya on the head get better soon I thought as I kissed her head "Bye twINs" Mya coughed out as we walked out the door.
