Narnia 2307

Between kissing Susan the previous night and being awoken this morning by Lucy and Gale who had spotted the blue star, Caspian felt it was acceptable to wear a smile on his face for the remainder of the day.

The Dawn Treader was heading towards the blue star while Eustace flew alongside it, pulling it when the wind died down. Lucy, despite everything positive that had happened recently, felt weird. Between the mermaids telling her to turn back and the pit in her stomach, she knew something wasn't right.

Whenever the wind would abandon the sky, Drinian would also mention that "something probably doesn't want us to get to Ramandu's island", which did nothing to ease the crew's fear.

A few days later, Caspian was sat with Edmund and Peter, discussing what they should do next.

"We can't even be sure the other lords made it to Ramandu's island," he spoke as he lifted on of the swords.

"Caspian," Peter began. "Stop worrying, we'll find the remaining swords and get rid of this mist. It's what we do." He shrugged, patting him on the back before exiting.

They reached an island almost a week later. Ramandu's island. It was stunning: waterfalls that were visible from the sea; land raised high above the water; the blue star shining above it.

"You got us there," Repicheep spoke encouragingly. "What did I tell you Eustace: extraordinary. Extraordinary." He laughed and patted Eustace on the head repeatedly.

The group tracked through the island, allowing the sun to set over them and the moon to take over and illuminate them. As midnight fell upon them, they found themselves at an entrance. Inside was an open room with a stone table, which was stacked up high with food.

They approached it cautiously while Tavros picked up an apple and shoved it in his mouth, chewing loudly, clearly having no concerns about the food.

"Wait," Drinian instructed before tutting, realising he had already eaten it.

The three lords were sat at the end of the table, hidden amongst branches. Edmund gasped as he noticed them, triggering the rest of them to draw their swords and for Caspian to step closer to Susan.

The men sat, dishevelled and unkept, but were still breathing. Caspian named each of the lords after examining their family crests, shocked at the notion that they were all still alive.

"It's the food," one of the crew members shouted, causing Tavros to drop the second apple he had picked up and to wipe his tongue furiously.

In realisation, Susan spoke: "this is Alsan's table."

"The swords." Caspian pulled the lords' swords out of their sheaths and placed them on the table in a circular formation. Lucy, Susan, and Caspian pulled out the swords that they were carrying and laid them there also.

"That's six," Edmund groaned.

Caspian wet his lips with his tongue and nodded. "We're still missing one," Peter added.

The swords began to glow an electric blue, startling some.

"Look!" Lucy exclaimed, gesturing to the blue star that was slowly descending from its place in the sky and entering the room.
