Chapter 26: Careless Emotions

Callum

I was numb okay, too numb to even think of anything. To think, to think that my favorite song would be the song that will remind me of my biggest heartbreak. Dapat wala akong karapatan na magseselos dito, after all, they didn't break up. Right?

"Cal? Usap tayo?" Santi softly knocks as Callum buries himself in the sheets.

"Cal?" Another voice spoke, assuming its Kai as they opened the door.

"Callum, I-I am sure may explanation-"

"Don't you guys get it?" Callum interrupted.

"Hindi ko naging intensyon na wawalk out ako. Hindi ko intensyon na magagalit ako. Hindi ko intensyon... Na mahulog ako sa kaniya ng ganito kasakit Santi" He cried.

"Mahal ko siya Santi. And it's fucking killing me" His tears never stopped as niyakap ng dalawa si Callum.

"Napunta lang ba ang pinagsamahan naming dalawa sa wala?" Santi soothes his back as he just listens lang.

Sometimes, hearing out a person is better than telling them the same line you use.

"Ito na ba ang parusa sa akin ng tadhana? Ano ba kasi ginawa ko?" He cried and them.

Santi and Kai stares at each other, hearing soft snores mula kay Callum. He was already asleep, maybe too tired from crying.

They set him down as lumabas na sila sa kwarto nito.

Witnessing their best friend this broken was something they didn't want to take lightly.

"Santi, alam ko ang iniisip mo" Kai held his hand.

"Definitely not coming up with a murder plan Kai, totally not" He rubs his knuckles as Kai sighed.

"Maybe we encourage him too much" Kai mentioned.

"Hindi, I know there is something off doon sa Lucas na iyan eh" Santi glared.

"Is it because nabuhay siya ulit ng tita niya?" Kai asks.

"Even so, something is off. And I feel like we also need to help Claudio"

"But first, hukay ka muna ng space doon sa hardin" Santi says.

"We have an ego and a CEO to bury"

For the hundredth time, I tried calling Callum pero to no response. Last night was fucked up okay? We were so lost doon sa concert even Kennedy asks sorry sa amin. It wasn't his fault, nor his staff. It was mine, I was lost sa mga mata ni Lucas. To think, I thought I was kissing Callum.

"Isa talaga akong gago" Claudio whispers to himself as he heard the staffs phone.

"Sir! May baliw dito- Take me to your fucking boss" The phone was all in commotion.

"What the heck" Claudio furrowed as he heard the door opening revealing...

"Santi we need to-"

And Santi just slapped Claudio out from his seats.

"Santi?!" Claudio held his cheek.

"Hindi pa ako tapos sa iyo tanginamo!" Kai held him back as Santi was furious.

"Ano ang nangyayari dito?" A voice spoke as Santi eyes him.

"Sino ka?!" Sabay nilang sinabi.

"Ako? Best friend ako ni Callum. Ikaw? Ba't... Parang ano mo" Santi says.

"I was gonna ask you the same eh. Best friend ako ni Claudio" He said as hinarap ito.

"Well, I slapped your best friend how about that?" Santi snickers as Claudio looks at Yves.
