KIT sat down on the bleachers, watching closely at his best friend's baseball game. It was a pretty hot day. Adults were drinking beer, kids were playing games and the teens came just to watch Finney.
The male was almost sweating since he was sitting under the sun but it didn't stop him from watching the game. Or maybe it was...because he has a small, maybe huge crush on his best friend, baseball boy, Finney Shaw. The two have been close since third grade and Kit would like to keep it that way.
"Who do you thinks gonna win?" A kid next to him asks. "Hopefully..." He trails off, not remembering the team names. "I honestly don't know." The boy laughed a bit. "I'm Elias, a friend of Bruce's. The one hitting home runs." "Kit. Friend of Finney, the curly haired one."
Kit sighs after the other team made a home run, he watched Finn walk away in disappointment. "Shit." He mutters. Elias claps, cheering a bit like the other crowds did. "It was nice meeting you, Kit. I'll see you around."
He watches the boy leave, heading towards Bruce who was talking to Finn. He then stands up next and could already see Finney walking towards his direction. "Don't say I did a good job." Finney let out while Kit chuckles a bit.
He wraps a arm around him, "good game?" Finn cheeks turned pink, a warmth coming through his body as he felt Kit's arms touch him. "Yeah. Good game."
"At least you tried your best." Kit says as he pours the soda into the glasses, the oven dinging. "It's alright. Plus, Bruce says I have a minty arm." Finney shrugged as he took a sip of the seven-up.
Kit makes a confused look, "the heck is minty?" He takes the pizza out of the oven and places it on the table. "I don't know. But, coming from Bruce Yamada, it's a compliment." He brags.
From the look on his face, Kit felt a sting in his chest. "What? You have a crush on him now or something?" He asks, teasing even though he actually wanted to know the answer. "What? Are you jealous he's gonna steal me away and make you a third wheel?"
Kit stared at him. You didn't answer the question. "Then I'll find someone so I won't be a third wheel. Now, let's go watch tv and hog it before my mom gets home." He quickly changes the subject, taking his plate and cup to the living room.
Mork & Mindy was on, so it was a good time as they munched on pizza and soda—even when they weren't supposed to.
Finney took a couples glances at the moody teen next to him, thoughts flooding through his mind. Was Kit mad at me??
He sets his pizza down, wiping his hands with the napkin. "Did I do something?" Finney quickly asks. "Oh god. Here we go again. No." Kit quickly replies. "Look, I didn't mean what I said about Bruce."
