#1) i found aespa by searching up "black mamba" (my fav snake) in january 2021 (so i wasn't a debut stan and didn't hear about them till LaTeR) because i'd forced myself to stay away from any figment related to kpop at da end of 2020 for nO gOoD rEaSoN (on YT,, da onleh place i went at da time lol) as one of my abstience idiosyncrasies
#2) for awhile, i'd thought skz debuted in 2017 and not 2018 (when ppl wld argue abt the generations for groups but call skz a 4th gen group) until i FINALLY googled and fixed mah misconception months later~
#3) for awhile, i'd also thought that felix & HYUNJIN were the aussie line of SKZ,, making meh think "oMG bAnGcHaN's eNGLiSh iS sOooOoOoo gOoD, LiKe nAmJoOn" like those freaking racist TV show dudes~ i still can't fathom how i initially had that idea -3- (i'm asian american too), all i needed to correct that was a simple gOoGLe sEaRcH once again~
#4) for a hot minutem, i thought FLY HIGH was dreamcatcher's debut song for no reason -3- (...i thought cHaSe mE & gOoD niGhT were their predebut songs 💀)
#5) i thought APRIL & APINK's Naeun were the same person... idk i could just never wrap my head around the fact that those weren't the same group and that both had a Naeun...
#6) i used to once act like all those weirdos hating on things only because they're "overrated" (this never applied to Bahiyyih or Wonyoung for me, but it applied to a few other idols)... For example, I'd get annoyed that everyone would say "Eunwoo suits every male lead in webtoons", thinking "there are other handsome idols too -_-" and "certain webtoon (unreal) character's remain untouchable IRL". I'd think that "OMG so what if he meets 100% of the beauty standards, some don't meet them all but look good uNiQuELy regardless". However, I realized that, just like being ugly, being pretty is just as uncontrollable. (Nobody finds hating on the latter as serious as hating on the first). I might've essentially been hating on him for his looks too (I found him far from ugly but not as unworldly as everyone else either). I never said anything out loud in comments, but I did mutter "yOu'Re sO bAsic" and "sO?!?! iDc" when my skool friends would point out eUnWoO being in a certain kdrama as my reason to watch it -3-. Some netizens attribute all of his success to "pretty privileges" (and hate on his acting), but I've come to realize that because of his looks, he'll never be able to prove that he'd do just as well if it weren't for his looks because he'd always be stuck with them. Same for Bahiyyih and Yujin bro, they'd never be able to prove that they'd still debut even without their brother or CLC history. (Even if some do believe that those privileges ACTUALLY benefitted them, we'll never know otherwise). Unlike Eunwoo, I actually stanned Yoon when I was feeling vengeful. However, I kept finding her visual praise oVeRRaTeD because I found J just as pretty as her and thought "Seeun & Sumin exist!!". I did find her pretty, but I kept wondering "wHaT aBoUT tHe oTHeR mEmBeRs" as if Isa wasn't well received as well. Now I've also realized that it's abt popularity bro. The idol CAN'T CONTROL their popularity or hype- I need to realize that about Ryujin when adoring the others -3-. I'm pretty sure the less popular members wouldn't want pity either... oooo Kazuha & Yunjin surpassing Chaewon anyways stan Eunchae I love Sakura and still don't have a Garam stance... II wanna see Yoon's forehead tho, same for Liz... Oh yea, another example was me spitting Jin at the Tae visual stans (in my mind). Damn I really could've left out my personal specific opinions and just stated my points that I've changed, it really looks like I haven't actually changed and am taking the chance to still voice my foRmeR opinions on my personal wattpad. I'm breaking my own rule now lol even if IKNOW I'm wrong and think it's harmless >o<
#7) i mixed up the titles for district 9 & side effects,, swapping their sounds (damn that's a lot of SKZ mistakes i made haha~)
#8) i never made the mistake of calling iz*one i*zone, but instead i'd called them ih-z*one (like ITzy) instead of eye-z*one
#9) i think we all made the mistake of saying the "G" letter in (G)idle before realizing it was just "idle" (i took sOoOOoo long to figure out, even with them always introducing as idleimnida)- i still say Gidle today tho cuz some wldn't know wat ii wuz saying if i just said "idol"- also i'd said "girlfriend" instead of "Gfriend" to this one person once after their disbandment
