Here's what I go around saying: I like bts music (old ofc, not the shitt that was their 3 english singles + ytc altho run bts grew on meh) (not members) and blackpink members (not music). I'm neutral-liking all bp members. I still like hobi & jin but I'm not an army cuz i don't like doing ot*less than members. However, I seriously don't like bp music. I go around saying "every part of d4, ktl, & lovesick girls is good EXCEPT the chorus" (cause it's ACTUALLY overplayed, nonstans know it too, and genuinely annoying). [I might liked AAIYL and PWF more than the others, but nO] In reality though, they are nothing compared to other songs music-wise imo. Their bsides are a bit better in my fav list, but still meh (crazy over you, you never know, love to hate me, tally, typa girl (bruh), dunno what to do, forever young, etc? MEH-). I don't like pretty savage's chorus and instrumental there. I suppose Jisoo's rap + the instrumental there + some verses were good. Nah nah... BTS's music game is.. WAS.. much better imo (literally LY, HYYH, MOTS). BP music don't got quantity either, not just quality. Let's see, I don't get pissed when ppl praise bts though, they may not have the best vocals (esp compared to nct & svt) but I actually damn like their vocals (esp every single one of jin & jimin's feat a few of jk's solos). Their rap + dance + sp slays, as well as their old music. They do deserve the fame, but so do other groups. Still, how can ANYTHING reach THAT level of popularity?! Armys r literally an army... I hate both fandoms lol
YK I used to also say: "i like BP's concept but not their music while i like twice's music but not concept". That was when I realized ICSM wasn't their defining song and they have good songs (someone shlda played more & more's chorus instead of prechorus imo) like feel special & fancy belonging to them. That's cause of LIKEY (which i now like at the dance break + vocal part, not the repetitive likey + cute choreo from the start). Now I'm fine with the cute concept + new concept. I love their songs more~ I like girl crush concepts but imo everglow gets it harder + better than BP... BP mostly got the stage presence but not always, twice got like 4/5 members doing stage presence
Let's see, the dance line is talented. Still I only stan Jin & Hobi. Jk is actually talented. I feel bad for him and all of them, fangirls r crazy as FVCK. But like why would he openly express his thoughts for IU & Jungwon, he should know fans would hate on them because of him (even if he might've boosted Jungwon's popularity). It's not his fault but the weird af fans, but he should still know, no? IDK I never watched I-land (nor do I care about the lineup) or saw the korean-translated-to-english words come of his mouth, I'm going off of articles and yt shorts I've watched lol-. Now that is not why I don't stan Jk and I haven't been swayed by it, but it's a snippet I've always wondered. ["It's not IU's fault for being Jk's ideal type, it's Jk's (not that it's a problem)"] *correct meh if I got anything wrong, I'm saying this without doing thorough research~ It's just like how I don't get how ppl get mad at the person their partner cheated on them with and not their partner themselves. (After all, ppl hating on JENNIE for TH following JENNIE. Doyoung, without as large of a crazy fanbase, got hated on for liking a Jennie-related post instead of Jennie getting hate, so it's all about the fans IK).
I actually liked RM. But his love yourself message pissssed the shitt out of meh. Imagine being told to love yourself by some successful + rich AF who actually got there by their hard work and mostly deserved it. My useless couch-potato ass would never. Army's act like he changed the world with those two words (it's good as a concept, but a message?!?!). <"bTs tAuGhT mE tO LoVe mYseLf oMG" 🥺> Like honey nO, they released songs and you chose to yourself due to your reverance. IG you never had that many real/permanent problems and just mental instability of a kpop group that doesn't know you exist could solve your issues. Sure you might think they aCTuaLLy caRe and are gOoD tO LiSTeN tO, but it's still just 2 words that are easy to say to an audience of millions. It's definitely not the first time someone said that too (it's not original), just the first time someone popularized it (because no one would listen to a nobody). It didn't cHaNGe tHe woRLd and what was that unicef speech about it~ They're all about not letting OTHERS bring you down too (in lyrics of idol, love myself, epiphany) clearly based off their own experiences or smth.
ok though (good to know he didn't say that "nObOdY iS boRn uGLy wE aRe jUsT boRn iNTo a juDGeMeNTaL sOcieTy" 😂). Jk & Jm r one of the most talented, and I liked almost all of Jimin's solos (and all of Jin's + euphoria). IDK why I unstanned them, overratedness maybe? (Yes indeed. If true beauty were just an everyday webtoon I'd just think "wtf is this", but it being popular (+ fandoms 🤦) makes meh hate it more. HOW tho-). Maknae line is overrated. The only member I dislike is Taehyung tho. (Sure I liked winter bear + sweet night and maybe inner child, but not the LY solo and no where near as much as that of the other vocalists'. V's my least fav bts vocalist!!!!?) I feel like his vocal + visual + dance is overrated and it's just the cheeky stage presence (and the biasing). I get annoyed whenever I see his name on yt shorts I watch, but don't send hate and he did nothing. I used to dislike Yoongi too (bc my 2 army exfwends were weird af abt him) (ik, not his fault once again even more and it hit close to home lol). He's actually such a good rapper tho so it makes up for it and i got over the ptsd (😆) mah army-besties inflicted. Detail on the members lmaooo. I got no such detail for bp members or music (there's no music lmaoo). I have no comment for either's CA. BTS got tha [old] music!! RUN, SAVE ME, IDOL, mikrokosmos, bs&t, dionysus, make it right, spring day, euphoria, moon, butterfly, young forever, filter, epiphany, bwl, seesaw, awake, 0 oclock, lights, truth untold, i'm fine (i dunno all songs and don't plan on getting to know all songs)- ok time to shut up that music gives mee sad ptsd... Time for 4th gen to take over!! It's cuz I had ol' ARMY fwends but not BLINK fwends.
I have decided to unstan Treasure. I stanned them after HELLO because I initially liked how fast-paced and bouncy upbeat the song was, but I quickly got tired of it. The haters were right about them making typical boy group music (I've seen worse bg music tho). [It's also that I liked every bside. However, I got tired of all too, even thank you. Whereas for Oneus & CIX I only liked the title tracks (same scent & 458) + one bside (stupid love + without you). I do like BOY & i love you (+ going crazy & mmh) tho. I also like darari and every part of Jikjin except the chorus. The thing is, I can't be entertained by the members (maybe like 4/5 of them). I don't like svt music either or nct music (anymore, i never liked over 50% tho), but the members are funny (ok tbh there's at least 2-4 members i don't like from both). I need to like both the members + the music to stan. (Ok tbh I only like 2 p1h songs but keeho is too funny and so r the other 5). The only BGs where I like every member is: skz (a lot), txt, enha, & ateez (they also make superior music). I love all my GGs, ok maybe for 2 or so groups I dislike (or don't like as much as the others) one member but I ain't listing names (ik dis is toxic stan shitt- nobody gon read dis anyway so~) I don't act like it's a big deal for the group if I unstan tho, one fan (esp a nonstreamer nonbuyer for ANY groups, let alone ones i stan less)means nothing (unlike those who announce it like breaking news). There, now we back to just stanning JYP & SM groups, YG off da list and never should've been on it.
Now that I think about it, my stanning red velvet is also questionable. Maybe I have an attachment, and they did release the iconic PSYCHO. However, I only like their title tracks (not all, but most: even the questionable ZIMZALABIIIIIIIIM). Their bsides are not it for me (believe me, I've played each album at least twice. It shouldn't specified right-minded listening for me to notice bsides. I've only noticed 3 so far (butterflies, i & out, + you better know; and they're not THAT good.) I need bsides to stan music... I only excessively stan Seulgi, Irene, & Yeri. Even so, 4th gen is taking over for me (twice & dreamcatcher r the only 3rd gen I stan now). SM groups I stan be dropping off the list too (nct & rv) *not entirely (I still rlly like taeyeon & taemin), so there's just AESPA. It's now just JYP but hybe's making it back up (restanning txt lol, and there's fromis + lesserafim!!). I don't like newjeans music tho, and how dare hybe do that to Garam...
