i apologize if u personally have something against openly hating on songs becuz "idols and producers work hard" or wtv. (they do), but i personally find nothing wrong with it (as long as the actual idols/humans aren't attacked in the process)

but i do agree with unnecessarily vulgar or wtv. comments (such as "this is why wonho left" YOU KNOW WHY THO- and "5idle" etc) so mine won't be any like that

also, sorry if u like the songs~ i respect ur opinion ^v^

way home (TXT): Judging by the song title, you'd think the song would be some masterpiece bside like "take me home" (ATEEZ) and "home" (BTS) (i didn't like come back home tho). Even "HOME" (SVT) was p good and "walk you home" is soooo cute~ also wasn't there that iconic "way back home")- Or you could believe it'd serve as the resolving action (like an ending story sort of-) to the untouchable title track of TXT's called "Run Away" (omg there are sOOoOoOo many good songs *TT & btrack* about running away- I'm not even gonna bother listing them). But then you listen to the song and realize it's one of those boring chill songs that is the same sound with stable but just unentertaining vocals, nothing like the unique elements that instantly hook you in GOOD slow paced songs. This song totally doesn't deserve to be on the same EP as the masterpiece bsides called "Wishlist", "Ghosting", & "We Lost the Summer"...

step back (GOT the beat or GIRLS ON TOP- WATEV DIS GROUP IS CALLED IDEK): The title (yes I'm factoring the titles into these) makes the song seem like one of those types of songs meant to make listeners feel untouchable/powerful etc. However, the opening just includes a bunch of high notes that are literal yelling (yes I'm sounding cliche now). We know they have great vocals and their technique was great, but they seriously could've made it more pleasant to the ear (color or style or whatever). *and II don't even know why I'm talking about that as the most ignorant unprofessional and unbothered loser out there- let meh make a fool of myself on my own wattpad* Then we get to the chorus which is decently catchy, but still not what one sHoULd have in mind for a song titled "step back" that's supposed to fall under a certain set in stone category for losers who can't handle the unexpected. I prefer other collab songs (there r so many examples but Empire & Upgrade come to my mind as I write this rn). I'll take the chance to mention KDA songs and "Weapon" but they don't rlly count and IDK why I'm comparing THESE. THE POINT IS II don't like this collab song even though this is supposed to be a permanent lineup, like SuperM, and not a one-time collab or subunit. But the biggest problem is... the LyRiCs. They ruin any hope for the song to be slightly saved. Screw the producers. It. is. not. step. back. and. will. never. be.

wonderland (dreamcatcher): The title (here I go again) makes you assume it'll be an otherworldly song whatever concept it undertakes. The faith you have in dreamcatcher's discography boosts your hope up too. Unfortunately, in the end you're let down with some weird spoken noises and repetition that isn't even pleasing or excusably made up by other parts. (Yes I had to mention the songs IIII dislike from my ult group's discography. There's literally less than 5-)

locked inside a door (dreamcatcher): aAaAaHhHh We have a nice lovely song that precedes the title track in an album. Those songs are always good, right? Right? WRONG- It's basic talking from a group that we all know houses some of the most formidable vocalists to exist. It's just what you expect from an intro. Speaking of which, the producers should've stuck to leaving the spoken words to the intros. Dreamcatcher should be more known for their mesmerizing album covers and enchanting intros. Many other intros could never... The intros in this latest "Save Us" album didn't disappoint as much as the title track or bsides (and *most* solos, damn), so the extra talking and one pin drop of an instrumental could've helped spice it up. However, I bet the producers responded to everyone's pleas to make full versions of intro's they're convinced will become bOpS (while still keeping ok intros behind)  *if there's aCTuaLLy smth II dunno here, pls lemme know*. However, they ended up just dropping this LoCkEd iNsiDe a dOoR nonsense instead of actually thoroughly producing it with dreamcatcher's alluring sounds. these r da onleh few for now,, i'll prob do more later

damn i can't believe the only essays i have on here r dissing songs i dislike instead of gassing up the one's i FFCKING adore- cuz da thing is ii suck at that positivity and onleh have negativity (a problem IRL)- i'd say i'm not very good at hyping up and will probably sound like a child (as if i didn't sound like one here-) and mah gassing wld prob beee smth random and not specific like ii did here (actually i wasn't specific for da most part and didn't mean and just wanted to leave farstretched light jokes dat weren't too connected except for stepback with specifics to song parts)- da others were just random jabs frum a distance so gassing might probbeee BUT II PROMISE II DO LIKE KPOP AND HAV WAYYY MORE TO ADORE IN COMPARISON II DONT EVEN SOUND LIKE THOSE MOSTLY NEGATIVE YT CHANNELS YET YKNOW WAT II MEAN
