What is love?

A criminal of the night,

Draining my heartbeat?

What is love?

An adrenaline boost to my life?

A fear pushing me into submission?

What is love?

A thought with an image?

A lust waiting to be fulfilled?

What is love?

My free will given away?

My happiness, depending on another?

What is love?

A ring bounding me to another?

A glass so fragile it needs another to hold?

What is love?

A warmth to keep me company?

A gift needing me to give in?

What is love?

Someone who needs me as I?

Someone who knows me as I?

What is love?

A bride walking down the aisle?

A groom waiting at the altar?

What is love?

Regrets taken away?

Two pieces of a puzzle to be one?

What is love?

A smile with a return?

A fire needing water?

What is love?

Two gears working as one?

A secret in the silence?

What is love?

Another step on the staircase?

Growing up to wisdom?

What is love?

Pain shared away?

Fear beating back?

What is love?

An illusion of thyself?

Or God at work?

Faith without temptation?

Trust without blindfold?

What is love?

A prison or a garden?

Food or hunger?

Obsession or Hate?

Pride or humility?

Me to You?

What is love?

A question left in the silence

Blessed by Christ to be whole.

Love is kind, without apology, when the heart becomes one

It sheds no blood as it holds a sword to cover all its subject

It stands firm when danger shaken its foundation

Love is merciful, it gives no ears to the mouths of the wicked

It never let's go even when forced to go

It forgives even when all seems lost

It brings justice when least expected

It is stubborn, it turns harsh when you choose to be blind

It has no boundary it accepts all

It is tolerant until it becomes jealous

It has no image; it makes all one

It is blind, it sees only beauty

It silences the feud that boils within

It comforts the homeless and blesses the widow

It clothes the orphans and feeds the stray

It pushes you to the rough ground, breaking a bone, to save thy life

It suffers all pain but remains the same

It is a leader, unafraid

Beautiful, only a few can dream

It is divine, it is own by none

God is love and love is God

And he who follows God is a bride of Christ
