A sit back: the old picture

You've grown a lot

The last time I saw you

You were still learning to walk

You were putting on your favourite shirt

You never let that shirt go

You never had acne

You would always cry

Always wanting a bottle in your mouth

You suckled all day and night

And the house wouldn't rest afterwards

Those days were precious

Now you look like a sack of potatoes

Your lipstick and mascaras

Have masked the ugliness of life

On your face

You now hide your dignity with iron chains

Not letting foxes and snakes by you

Yeah! Your days are better than mine

Have a husband now, responsibilities, kids

You always notify everyone when

You are going in or out or for a visit.

You have breast now, suitors demanding your hand

Even with a ring on. Critics are following you

Waiting to ruin our reputation

Your days are better than mine

I wish I was that old picture

Hiding behind the cupboards
