"I have sent all the documents to you through email.  For today until the end of the trial, you are responsible for carrying out my duties for a while. Record all court proceedings and don't forget to tell me about the results."

Sophie said to someone on the call. Her gaze is still focused on her computer screen to re-check her documents while moving the mouse cursor with her right hand, and the other hand is holding a phone which is pointing to her left ear.

Since Sophie helped her friends to find Hannah, she was also busy with her work as a chief court clerk. That's why Sophie can easily solve various puzzles. Many cases have been reported daily to the Vadena District Courthouse. Vadena is a big city where Sophie lives. So it's no surprise her.  However, in doing all those tasks, there are two other people who also always ready to help her. Alina Owen, as the deputy court clerk, who is currently on the call with Sophie. And Victor Graham, as assistant deputy court clerk, no one knows where he is today, including Sophie because he didn't answer her calls.

"Alright, Sophie. But I want to know. Why did you take 10 days off? Is something wrong?" Alina's voice was worried about Sophie.

"In the past few days, someone messaged me about their missing friend.  Their friend is a female. They asked me if I recognized her. Of course I don't know anything about her. But slowly, I started to get involved and help them. Until in the end we managed to find her."

"And... what do you want to do? You've found her, haven't you?"

"It didn't end that way. You know, it turned out that the kidnapper who kidnapped their friend was one of them. It's him."

"What? Their own friend? What's the purpose of him kidnapping her?"

"I still can't explain it. I have to get ready to go to the airport now. Because my flight schedule will leave in 3 hours."

"Where are you going? Do you know about that city? Have you ever been there?"

"To Duskwood. I've never been there at all and I only know a little about the city from a friend of mine who lives there. If I looked at the maps, the distance from Vadena to Duskwood was about 529 miles or 850 kilometers. It will probably take me 2 hours or more by plane."

"Okay. Be careful. When you get there, you should call me back. You know, I get worried very easily when the people closest to me are about to leave me."

"Sure. I promise. Don't forget to tell Victor about me. And ask for his help to help you complete those tasks."

"Yes... My Queen. Bye."

"Hahaha. Bye."

Sophie ended the call and turned off her computer. She still left her phone on because she wanted to order a taxi through the application. She got up from her chair and walked to the suitcases beside the bed. When the taxi she ordered arrived, she walked out from her house.  Sophie had no idea that she was actually going to Duskwood.

Sophie had already checked in. But she is still at an airport cafe just to fill her stomach with dessert. Suddenly her phone rang which was placed on the table. Sophie picked it up and saw who called her. Alan Bloomgate. Sophie put back the spoon. Then press the answer call button.

"Hello, Alan."

"Hello, Sophie. Do you have any plans to come to Duskwood? Because I want to discuss this case with you in person."
