«One word from you and I would jump off of this ledge I'm on. Baby tell me "don't" so I can crawl back in.»

Aurora tried to drag her suitcase as fast as she could, trying to keep up with Silvia while her coworker, Valentina, looked at her and gestured with her hand for Aurora to move faster. She could feel the heat on her neck; it was far too hot, way hotter than back in May during the race weekend. She would have to take a shower later.
In all honesty, none of her plans included being in Monaco, but of course, Silvia had a completely different idea. Aurora wasn't supposed to be there, she just got lucky enough for her coworker to fall ill and her being one of the few people who contributed with a decent social media strategy for sponsors in the past weeks.
It's too hot, she thought again. She could feel her hands getting damper. How did so many drivers survive in there? She would never understand.
They were staying in the same hotel the staff always booked during the Monaco Grand Prix. Even the hotel staff didn't act surprised when the group of people wearing Ferrari workwear walked into the hotel. Those t-shirts were for sure not helping with the heat, she would have to check what fabric they were made of.
Or maybe Sebastian was truly onto something with all his climate change stuff. She would have to get more information about it before he called it quits at the end of the season. Definitely not an excuse to get one last picture with him. Charles would laugh at her if he was there.
Aurora shook her head. It wasn't a good time to think about Charles of all people.
"You're sweating." Valentina — god bless her coworker — pointed out, as if it wasn't the most obvious thing in the world. They stood next to each other as Silvia gathered the cards for their rooms from the reception. "It's not that hot, come on."
"Alright, cold-blooded reptile." Aurora rolled her eyes. "It is hot, hotter than in May." She tried to dry her hands with the fabric of her pants.
Valentina raised an eyebrow. "Seems like you're a bit anxious, or nervous, to be here. Are you okay?" Her expression changed somewhat to a worried one. Aurora smiled, she did appreciate her kindness.
She nodded. "I guess I'm just tired, this was a bit unplanned so I'm still trying to figure it out. Also nervous yeah, we can't fail on this one. Can we?" Valentina chuckled and shook her head.
Their conversation ended as soon as Silvia walked back to them with a few keycards in her hands. The head of PR looked just as stressed as she had sounded when she'd told everyone about that little trip to Monaco; that's how Aurora knew they couldn't fail on this one.
"You know the drill, the meeting is tomorrow so please be prepared," Silvia said while handing out the keycards.
Most people just nodded and scrambled towards the lift. Aurora took a deep breath before sticking her keycard inside one of her pockets and taking her suitcase towards the nearest lift. Her eyes watched as the doors closed, she just sighed and stood there waiting for the doors to open again. Soon enough Valentina dragged herself to Aurora's side and nudged her to get her attention.
"Shall we get something to eat?" Aurora eagerly nodded at the proposal, almost twisting her face into a grimace as she remembered how sticky she felt. "We settle and then I catch you in the corridor, alright?"
"Sounds good," Aurora confirmed giving her coworker a smile.
The doors to the lift opened and both of them, along with other people, gathered inside. Aurora briefly waved her hand at Valentina before she got into her room a few doors away from her own, then walked inside her assigned room for the next forty-eight hours or so.
