«Sometimes I lose the plot and I cause a scene.»

Silvia sighed, quite deeply, Charles raised both eyebrows while Aurora tried not to laugh at his expression. He looked at her from across the table and narrowed his eyes, she was having way too much fun. Media meetings were never a fun part for the drivers, however, Aurora enjoyed from time to time watching Charles try to be reasonable about Silvia's instructions regarding their behavior with the press.
"You can't say that," Silvia told him, pointing her pen at him as if it was a warning. Charles looked at her.
His confusion was genuine. "Why not? Hamilton has been saying his car is shit the whole season, why can't I do it?"
His teammate chuckled from where he was sitting next to Aurora. She nudged Carlos to stop him from laughing. Charles looked at him. It's not like he was the only one who wanted to complain about the engine problems they'd had during the season so far, but Aurora and Carlos seemed to be enjoying his confusion a bit too much.
"Aurora, please." Silvia motioned for her to continue. Charles turned his attention to her, crossing his arms over his chest and looking at her with amusement.
Aurora smiled. "Mercedes are not in the run for the championship. Since the beginning we know they've been having issues with their cars, it's not surprising at all. You're not going to get pity for saying how bad your car is, you're just going to make Ferrari look bad." Which was true, but again, they worked for Ferrari, not against Ferrari. "Besides, he's Lewis Hamilton." She shrugged
Charles looked at her in disbelief, almost pretending he was offended by that. Aurora wanted to smile, but she had enough self-control to keep a straight and business-y face. She's unbelievable, Charles thought.
"We know it's frustrating for both of you, but let's try to keep it in peace with the media," Silvia told him, Charles looked at her and just nodded, his attention went back to Aurora almost immediately.
She was showing Carlos something in her folder, to which his teammate only nodded acting like he understood what Aurora was showing him. Silvia kept talking, giving her instructions and everything, but Charles was far too off to even pay attention to that. Aurora glanced at him just to find him already paying attention to her.
For two people who were only acquaintances a few weeks ago, they sure spent a considerable amount of time checking each other out.
"Alright, I think we're done for today," Silvia said, getting everyone's attention. Including Charles and Aurora's. "Aurora please take those folders with you, we need those." Aurora quickly nodded and picked up her own folder.
Everyone walked out of the room whilst Charles stood there, watching as Aurora picked every single folder and pilled them on top of each other. He grabbed a couple of folders that were near him and handed them to her, who was visibly surprised that he was still there with her.
There was something about Aurora and he couldn't quite place his finger on what. She had always been polite and kind to him, ever since she started working for Ferrari, but there was something different for him now. They didn't have the need to spend so much time together, and yet there he was, trying to keep getting a word from her.
"I see we got ourselves a Lewis Hamilton fan here." Charles leaned against the doorframe and teased her.
Aurora scoffed and shook her head. "Don't know what you're talking about, Charles."
"Besides, he's Lewis Hamilton." Charles high-pitched his voice, trying to imitate Aurora and her accent. He managed to get a laugh out of her, it was weirdly satisfying for him. "See?"
