«So many fishes there in the sea.»

Things could get quite hectic during the calendar, especially when races were scheduled each one week after the other and in different countries. Usually, when they had to travel around Europe it was easier, however when there was another different continent, things could get complicated and tiring; and considering the events that happened on the last race weekend, Aurora could pretty much confirm she was more than tired.
After the events with Charles the night of the race, Aurora hadn't known anything about him. Pierre made sure to take him back to his room 'safe and sound' according to the French driver, but Aurora had no idea if he even remembered what had happened that night. She assumed he was not in the mood to deal with that, and she didn't blame him. There were more important things going on for Charles than whatever happened with Aurora that night.
Sloane on the other hand didn't give her much insight into what truly happened with Charles. After her very useless text that night, Aurora pushed to know more but only managed to get vague answers about it, and Sloane explained to her that she would be staying in New York for a while. Aurora didn't push any further after that, as someone who knew Sloane, she was aware of her tone and the way she was treating the situation so she just assumed it wasn't easy for the girl either. Maybe Charles didn't know that, but if Aurora wasn't wrong, Sloane was probably as hurt as him for whatever had happened between them.
But that wasn't her relationship, and it was something between her best friend and some guy she saw at work. Nothing for her to meddle.
"Fuck." Aurora muttered under her breath as she checked her things. Her passport was nowhere to be seen. Great. "God, not this again." She rummaged through her hand pack as if her passport would magically appear out of nowhere.
That's all she needed, starting the week with the left foot again. It was almost like luck wasn't on her side for the past few days. In all honesty, her head was everywhere; from work to personal matters. Sometimes she forgot all of that came along with the situation she was in.
"Hey, hi." Aurora smiled as soon as the receptionist from the hotel picked up her call. "Uh, I left the hotel a couple of hours ago; my room was booked under the team working for Formula One's Grand Prix this past weekend." She tried to explain, praying the girl would believe her. "I think I might have left my passport somewhere in the room I was staying, and I don't know if I could get it delivered to the Heydar." She looked around, making sure she was in the right airport. "My flight is leaving in a few hours."
There was a moment of hesitation which Aurora couldn't blame the receptionist for. It was pretty normal, no one would straight up believe what she was saying over the phone. Eventually, the receptionist managed to ask her all the questions she needed to know to confirm she wasn't lying and she did stay at the hotel last week; everything alright confirming her identity.
They made her wait in the line while the staff made sure her passport was indeed in the room and not somewhere else, and just as she suspected, it was left alone in the room. There was a whole explanation about how they had to charge an extra for getting her the passport to the airport, Aurora just proceeded to accept as it was a priority. Surely the person controlling their expenses would understand that one; and the passport would get to her which was more important.
The waiting lounge was not her favorite part of the airport, but it had to do for the moment. At least the seats seemed comfortable enough. Rolling her suitcase, Aurora moved around and tried to find a place to sit.
