Chapter 10: Kon

Tatsuki's (???) Perspective

Before the blinding light from the fallout of that cataclysmic fist bump had fully dissapatted, the trio with the aid of Mr. Urahara had managed to track and teleport to the location of the Enemy Shinobi's unique energy signature. It seemed in the absence of the Umbral aura, Noba had managed to recover some of his stamina, and his power. Of course as soon as they reappeared in the midst of the two dead men, Noba once again buckled under the overwhelming pressure on his plush body. The teenage girl, accompanied by Noba and Sai, had to make every second count.

"Mr. Sai?.... Ms. Arisawa?" the surprised skeleton uttered.

Stomping down on the skull of the Venom attempting a sneak attack on Brook, the girl quickly jumped off again as her companions leapt aside taking their positions, and ran into the fray. Or rather she ran past Brook and leapt onto a particularly thick outstretched tendril of their enemy. Taking hold of the hem of the Elder Shinobi's cloak, the girl looked him in both exposed red (yet mismatched) eyes with a defiant glare. For it seemed the power of his eyes only worked when he had time to activate it. And the glare soon shifted into a mischievous grin.

"SURPRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZE!!!" came a high-pitched grating voice that didn't match that of the timid, helpless girl from half an hour ago.

"What on..?" began the shocked Ninja with his mouth open wide in surprise. That was all the opening the Mod Soul needed. In particularly un-ladylike fashion, Kon hocked his Pill Form through Tatsuki's mouth and straight into the mouth of a bewildered Danzo, before Tatsuki's body slumped to the rooftop lifeless!

Immediately, the dead Shinobi stumbled backwards as two opposing forces went to war within him. One the Dark Umbras Cube that Kane had used in Danzo's reanimation and to grant him his newfound powers. The other, an emotional and reckless Mod Soul with a strong conviction in the value of life, and an axe to grind against the amoral walking nightmare.

"Stop... This..." But Kon had no intention of stopping his assault from within the Shinobi's body. For as long as he lived, his fallen brethren would remain with him in his dreams (just as SHE would). But he wanted those dreams to be of his own mind and heart. Not the manipulations of some maniac!

For Ichigo's little sister and her exhausting obsession with dress-up, for Sweet 'Hime and Rukia, for those that (even if they were a little rough with him at times) he counted his friends, for HER! And for the world She loved that had become his home, Kon would not let this :1#[1|& win!!

Noba's Perspective

As time passed, Noba felt his strength slowly returning, but as a consequence grew more nauseous at the thought of Kon in Ms. Arisawa's body, and then effectively making the body vomit himself into this Danzo man's body. Nevertheless he and Mr. Sai watched the scene play out in unsettling awe. Mr. Brook just looked between the four, presumably wondering what on Earth was going on.

Soon though, Kon and Ms. Arisawa's plan seemed to pay off as the Elder Ninja's tendrils and dark aura rescinded. He was looking less like a Venom, and more like a 'typical' reanimated corpse by the second, the iris's on his right side eyes became white and listless while that of his one left eye turned a grayish-hazel. And by the time it was clear the last of the Umbral energy around him was gone, Kon once more regurgitated his Pill Form out of another's body, on to the rooftop below their feet... along with something in the shape of...

"The Dark Umbras Cube!!" Noba cried, pointing at the object with a plush arm. Desperately, the Elder Ninja reached out a human-like left arm to retrieve it, but in his now greatly weakened state, he wasn't fast enough. Wasting no time, Mr. Brook ran his cane-sword through the Cube, destroying it. And all trace of Umbral energy in the area along with it.
