Chapter 13: Majin Buu
Majin Buu's Perspective
(A street near a fine restaurant in Seireitei, Soul Society, even more minutes earlier)
Majin Buu was on his back in a crater, and then he sat up.
One moment Buu was at Kame House enjoying lunch with friends. Next he was inside a hole in the sky. There were lots of colours and a lady's voice. And then he was here in this place on his back.
Why did the hole in the sky have to take Buu away from his friends, and away from food? Buu was confused, and then he was angry! Then Buu smelled something in the air, and realised he was still hungry. Buu got up and followed the delicious smell, ignoring the screams of people fleeing from his path.
Soon Buu followed the delicious smell to a building that he remembered was called a restaurant by humans. Buu walked in up to the counter where a man sat on a stool in front of it with a bowl of what looked like noodle-soup. And another man behind the counter Buu thought must be the manager, who was currently quacking in fear. After a moment, the man with the soup looked behind him, saw Buu, and ran away screaming.
Buu looked at the abandoned bowl, picked it up, and downed it in one gulp, breathing out a contented sigh. "That soup good! What it called?" Buu asked the man behind the counter, who was still shaking. "It's s.. s.. Soba. One of our h..House Specialties." he spluttered. "Yummy! Man make Soba for Buu!!" Buu declared excitedly, causing the building to shake as he jumped on the spot with anticipation.
"Uhh, r.. r.. right, that will be... uhhh 40 Yen, p.. p.. please!" the man continued to shake. Buu stopped jumping and looked at the man curiously. "What Yen?" Buu asked. "Th.. That's the payment we accept here. I.. I'm still a business man and need the money to.. to.. Pleasedonthurtme!!" the man said the last part very quickly, holding his hands out in front of him, and still shaking in fear.
There was a time Buu would have just taken what he wanted. But since living on Earth with Hercule, Buu learned that people should think of others before taking. Buu also learned that humans need something called 'money' to get things like Yummy food! Buu looked to the left of the counter and saw a jar with a few coins Buu thought must be Yen. Buu then looked to the empty stool before him.
Using his Morph-Ray from his tentacle, Buu turned the stool into a large pile of exact replicas of the coins in the jar. Then grabbing a handful, Buu dropped coins on the counter in front of the man. "There, lots of Yen! Now man make lots of Soba for Buu!!!" Buu once again declared, with a wide and expectant grin. The man cautiously scooped up the pile of coins and hurriedly set his staff to work in the kitchen, in no mood to argue with the pink behemoth.
(Time-Skip)
About 30 minutes later and after fifty-three large bowls of Soba, two new visitors were the first in that time to enter the restaurant. A man who looked like a funny clown in black and white robes and a girl with long purple hair. Buu took no notice of them, and was about to start bowl No. 54 when the clown-man called to him. "What an exceptional creature you are!" Clown-man slowly approached, and the few remaining customers cringed in fear of him.
"When I first heard reports of an unidentified, enlarged and bright pink creature disturbing the peace in this particular establishment in Seireitei, understandably I considered it might be a lighter variant of the umbral breed that had been plaguing Soul Society of late. But you, you are something new altogether! Do you understand basic Soul Language? What realm do you hail from? What exactly do you require for your survival? And how much damage can your body sustain exactly before such injuries prove fatal? Ahh, so many questions to answer, so little time. Now, if you would kindly accompany me to S.R.D.I. we could have quite the partnership, you and I. My research into your unique physiology could yield exponential results that could benefit all of Soul Society's academic community, not to mention my own scientific prestige. And I can assure you I would keep any undue suffering as a consequence of experimentation to the bare minimum!"
