The next morning, "Shimmer, are you ready to tackle this to-do list?" Cortana asked as she entered Shimmer's room.
"Ugh, wow." Suffer exclaimed. "Do you ever knock?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll be sure to knock next time." Cortana replied nervously.
"You'd better." Suffer said.
"Anyways, you ready to do this list?" Cortana asked.
"Ugh, can you give me a minute?" Suffer asked.
"Um, of course." Cortana replied as she closed the door.
"Hmm, it seems like I have to do her work." Suffer said as she put on her necklace, which disguised as Shimmer's as soon as she did so. "I'm ready, you impatient dragon." Suffer said as she opened the door with her magic.
"Shimmer, are you ok?" Cortana asked curiously.
"Yep." Suffer replied as she shut the door. "Let's just get this over with."
"Alright, it's just that your magic looked, a little, darker than usual." Cortana said as they walked through the castle.
"Uh, it's fine. Don't worry about it." Suffer said.
"Ok, if you say so." Cortana said as they reached the castle's entrance.
"Oh. Good morning Shimmer and to you as well, Cortana." River said.
"Ah, River. You're just the pony that I wanted to see." Suffer said.
"But what about the list?" Cortana asked.
"We can do it later." Suffer replied. "Now go do, whatever it is that you do."
"Um, ok." Cortana said as she left the two alone.
"So, River wanna go for a walk?" Suffer asked.
"Sure." River replied.
"Great. Follow me." Suffer said as the pair of them trotted out of the castle.
