Toni and I, been dating for 2 months now. We were doing good lastnight but this morning, she's been begging me to tell her more about the past that happened to me. I didn't mind telling her, just wanted to when I was ready. We were throwing Amanda a birthday party in the back yard. I was sitting over at the patio, watching kids from Amanda's school run wild everywhere and some swim in the pool.
??: "oh my gosh, Janet right?!"
I look over my shoulder, seeing the woman who's name was jada coming my way. I stand up from the chair cause she opened her arms for me to hug her, so I gave her an awkward side hug before sitting back down.
Jada: "it's been a while since we last seen each other, hows everything?" *sits across from me*
Janet: "everything's been good"
Jada: "you've changed... in a good way I mean"
Janet: "yea... I dyed my hair"
Jada: "i see you have piercing also"
I nodded as I watched Toni make her way outside the house and walk well fast walk towards us.
Toni: "ba- Janet can you go get the pizza?" *side eyes jada*
Janet: "sure, Jada it was nice seeing you again"
Jada gave me a smile as I stood up and Toni grabs my arm pulling me towards the house. We walk in together and she slams the door behind us.
Toni: "here" *gives her card to Janet*
Janet: "I was going to pay"
Toni: "I don't want you talking to her"
Janet: "but why sh" *gets cut off by toni*
Toni: "janet just go get the pizza... we'll talk later" *walks back out the back door and slams the door*

I made my way inside the house where I see everyone all comfortable in the living room, watching television. I walked in the kitchen where I found Toni and Jada talking. When they noticed me, they backed up from each other.
Toni: "girls pizza" *takes the pizza and puts it on the table*
I heard the girls run in the kitchen laughing and talking to each other. Toni looked over at me seeing that my eyes were on her.
Amanda: "mama, toni said my friends could stay the night, how cool is that!"
Amanda said pulling on my arm, making me to look at her and smile. Amanda knew me more than anyone and I knew she noticed how uneasy I was.
Janet: "that's good baby"
I gave Amanda a hug before making my way out the kitchen and going up to my room.
