Kat POV

There's a feeling I had this morning that had not shaken off even as the school day was ending. Something was gonna happen today. I hope it isn't anything too major, but it feels off. I did my best to ignore the feeling, but even when Miko came after school the feeling was still there. We did our normal little chat, her telling me about her imagination and me giving real world advice on how to improve her imaginative world. We talked as I was finishing the wall painting and Miko happily took a picture of the finished work. I packed everything back up and prepared to head home. The gut feeling was still there as we both went to leave the school building. I watched Miko get into the car and then I finally made my own way home.

Out of the corner of my eye, there it was, that red car again. Don't get me wrong it was a nice and unique car, but it was starting to give me the creeps cause I keep seeing it a lot, yet I have never met the owner of it. I looked back towards the car to see that it was following me. Well, that doesn't help my gut feeling cause now the sirens in my head are going off. 'Get away,' it kept repeating over and over again. Ain't I just lucky, I decided to ride my skateboard to school today, that was pretty dumb. I see the local grocery store ahead of me, I remember that there were a few things that needed to be picked up. So I decided to walk into the grocery store that I was coming upon. Luckily we needed a few things at the house, so it would at least come off as unsuspicious.

I went inside the store and walked around, getting the few items that we needed at the house. Luckily it wasn't anything too heavy, or it would offset me on my skateboard. I slowly walk back outside the store, looking only with my eyes for the red car. My gut feeling was gone now, luckily, but now I was kind of scared.

"Fuck," was the only word that came out of my mouth as I went to turn and came face to face with said red car. The gut feeling is skyrocketing big time now. It almost feels like cramps at this point. I feel my hand be grabbed and I look to see Miko.

"Ms. Carroll, come with me," Miko said in a rush. I nodded and followed her into the green off-roader. We get into the back seat of the car and it starts down the road. I noticed the red car seemed to have left. I sighed a bit.

"Um, Ms.Carroll, there is a lot that needs to be explained," Miko started, "and I just wanna say, I'm sorry I seemed to have got you involved." I looked at the young girl in confusion and then doubled back cause I had just realized that no one was driving the car. Or well, the car seemed to be driving itself. I sighed a little bit.

"Well, whatever it is, can I go home and drop these off?," I asked Miko, lifting up the bags of groceries and my skateboard.

"That would be best," I finch slightly at the voice that came out of nowhere, it seemed to come from the car. I sat there in awe for a second, then nodded and started giving directions to my house.

Turns out I live on the opposite side of town from their base, or at least that's what the car and Miko said. I walked inside and put the items away, along with my skateboard. I quickly go and grab my normal bag, transfer a few things into it, and go back out to Miko and the car. I sit back in the backseat with Miko and look to her for somewhat of an explanation.

"Well, you know that vivid imagination I had been talking to you about? Well, it's actually real life," Miko said, short and sweet. Though that made my heart drop into my intestines, some of those stories she told me were not something a child should go through. It's one thing to imagine them, it's another to witness and be a part of.

"Raf and Jack are also involved. Also, Bulkhead is the one who is driving us right now," Miko said pretty quietly. That made my heart drop even more.

"Don't worry, there are adults. One of them is Agent Fowler," Miko said. That didn't really calm the nerves I was feeling. Just one adult knew about this giant robot war. I sighed and patted Miko on the head. Assuring her that she doesn't have to say anymore and to also calm myself down.
