Narrator POV

Kat had just moved into this odd and barren town. Her and her roommates moved here to get slightly better jobs, though their move had finally happened because Kat got fired from her previous job. Now Jasper, Nevada, wasn't much to see, but it did provide the three different jobs that the roommates needed. Kat had applied as the new art teacher for the school in the area. Trever had gotten a job at the mechanic shop in town. While Alyssia had gotten the veterinarian job in town. Neither one of them were happy about moving and opening boxes, but it had to be done whether they liked it or not.

"Hey, Kat, what box is this? I can't see the writing because it is on the other side," Trever asked.
"Kitchen," Kat answered, as she looked for the label on the box she was about to grab. She saw that it was labeled cats, she wondered if it would be heavy or light. She picked it up and it was heavy. 'It's the cat tree,' Kat believed.
"Hey, where do we want to put the main cat tree?," Kat shouted to the other two.
"Living room," both answered. Kat nodded and made her way through the door. She could hear the barking of the dogs, they had been put in the fenced-in backyard so they could run. They seemed to be having fun.
It took a few hours to get everything unpacked and put into place. There were still a few boxes here and there, but the main necessities were unpacked.

"What do we want for dinner!?," Kat asked the other two. That was one thing they didn't know. None of them had the energy to cook anything.
"Wasn't there a fast food place here?," asked Trever. They did all remember there being a place.
"How about we go there?," Alyssia said. They all nodded and got up and headed to the car to go eat.

The food did not even make it home. The three of them were satisfied with the meal they had gotten.
"We will have to go there again. Though that poor kid at the window seemed to be exhausted," Alyssia said, the three of them nodded as they exited the car. They head into the  house. Kat goes around and feed the animals their dinner and makes her way back into her room.
Kat walked over to her laptop to see if she had gotten any new notifications. She logged in and went to her email, and sure enough, there it was, the email she had waited for. Kat opened it quickly and smiled, her interview and possible tour would be Monday. So she had all of Sunday to prepare. She couldn't wait.
