Part 3

Next day

   Everything was as usual at the hospital as well as the bakery. But Torin's thoughts kept on swirling about Cecily. Last night, after a long battle within himself, both his heart and mind agreed that what he did was wrong and he should apologise. So he decided to ask sorry after his work. On the other hand, Cecily totally forgot about that incident. Though she shared it with her parents, she left it just like that. Today was Saturday and the bakery closes at 4.

Lunch Time

   Torin reached the bakery and found another girl in the counter. With slow steps he reached the counter and cleared his throat. The girl looked up hearing the sound and smiled at him asking for his order.

Torin: "One Espresso please" He ordered and paid. The girl asked him to wait and went to make his coffee. Torin's eyes roamed around to get a glimpse of Cecily but she was nowhere in sight. Mr. Rafferty who saw this came towards him.

Raff: "Are you searching for someone?"

Torin: "Yes sir. The one with whom I misbehaved yesterday. I want to apologise to her. Please" Mr. Rafferty looked at him for few minutes and nodded. He went inside to call Cecily. In the meanwhile, Torin received his order. He got that and waited and soon Cecily arrived. Mr. Rafferty made her stand in front of Torin and took a step behind.

Cecily: "You wanted to speak to me?" "Her voice is soft like silk" That was the thought running in Torin's mind right now. He shook his head and focussed on her.

Torin: "Yes ma'am. Yesterday I shouldn't have misbehaved with you. I'm sorry ma'am. Please forgive me"

Cecily: "It's okay sir. And please call me Cecily" She smiled showing her almost dimples and an involuntary smile crept upon his lips. Mr. Rafferty who saw this cleared his throat. Torin glanced at him and wiped his smile.

Torin: "And please call me Torin. I'm an ophthalmologist in ALLCARE hospital" He said and she nodded.

Raff: "Cecily, I think now you should get back to work" Cecily nodded and went from there after bidding bye to Torin. Now Torin was standing face to face with Mr. Rafferty.

Raff: "What are you trying to do young man? Yesterday you didn't think before insulting her. Suddenly what happened today?"

Torin: "I know sir. Yesterday my actions were not appreciable. But my character is like that. But I really felt ashamed and wanted to apologise after I realised my mistake. And don't worry. I will not be a problem in Cecily's life. I just wanted to apologise and I did that. Once again, I'm sorry sir"

Raff: "It's okay man. But try to control your emotions. It'll surely help you"

Torin: "Sure sir. Now I need to go. I'm running late. Bye sir"

Raff: "Where did you say you were working?"

Torin: "I'm senior ophthalmologist in ALLCARE hospital sir" Saying he rushed out. Hearing that, something struck Mr. Rafferty.

   Torin felt happy when he reached the hospital. It was a long time since he felt happiness. It was only Hope who is his only source of happiness. Now Cecily seemed to be added to that list. He wondered how that happened and was that good for him or not. He decided to pour his heart to his mom since she is the one with whom he could share anything. It is not like his father is a Hitler, infact he was his first bestfriend. But he just wanted his mom to be the first to know about Cecily.
