chapter one.

DALLY AND GINNY BOTH SIT IN CLASS TOGETHER WHILE PEOPLE TALK. Dally taps her pen on the table as she reads the question on her paper over and over.

"Uh, you have a pen I can borrow?" The boy infront of Ginny asks making Dally look over.

Ginny smiles and hands her only pen over to him. A blonde girl comes over to the boy and they start talking.

Soon, she leaves and he follows, leaving the pen on the desk. Ginny leans over and grabs the pen before looking at the blonde girl.

"Jesus, you'd think you're a lesbian and I'm not." Dally comments making Ginny flip her off.

"Dallas and Virginia Miller?" A teacher asks making Ginny and Dally look at the doorway. "Can I talk to you in the hallway for a minute?"

Everyone turns and looks at the twins making them stand up and walk out of the room. "Virginia, Dallas,"

"Its Ginny." Ginny states.

"And Dally." Dallas says but the teacher pays no attention.

"Your stepfather's been in an accident. Your mom's on her way here with your brother. I'm so sorry girls. He didn't make it." The teacher says.

She hugs both the girls making them just look at each other.

GINNY, DALLY AND AUSTIN STAND OVER JENNY'S CASKET AND LOOK AT HIM.

"Jesus he was old." Dally mumbles making Ginny slap her arm. "What? He was!"

"Poor Amber Lynn. I know they had their problems with the divorce, but still, she must be devastated." A lady says from behind the three.

"Have you seen the new wife? Who shows that much cleavage at a funeral?" Another lady questions.

Ginny, Dally and Austin walk away, but not before Ginny nudges the woman. "Oops. Pardon me. I tripped." Ginny says making Dally raise her eyebrows.

"Damn girl I didn't know you could be a bitch." Dally laughs. Ginny doesn't laugh but Austin let's out a giggle.

"Shut up, Dally. Seriously." Ginny spits making Dallas flip her off. The three kids stand in the room as Ginny listens to her mom talk.

"Hey, Austin, why don't we go get some mini sandwiches?" Dally asks making Austin nod.

She holds his hand and they walk to the snack table, getting their mini sandwiches.

-

DALLY SITS IN the backseat as Ginny is driving and her mom and Austin sing. "But she caught me on the counter," Georgia sings.

"It wasn't me," Austin replies.

"Saw me bangin' on the sofa," Dally sings.

"It wasn't me," Austin replies.

"I even had her in the shower," Georgia sings.
