Hermione was peacefully sleeping in her bed at 5:43 am. She hugged her pillow and teddy as her covers were up to her eyes. As the hours passed, the room got brighter and then her light turned on.
'Hermione you have to wake up.' Someone whispered.
'AH!'
'Sh, its just us.' They said. She looked to see Ron and Harry at the end of her bed, Rons hair fairly usual and Harry's hair all over the show.
'Merlin Harry, Try brushing you hair!' Hermione chuckled.
'Okay, how?' He laughed.
'I'll show you once I'm dressed and ready.' She laughed.
She got up as she boys left and made her bed.
Once she was dressed, she grabbed one of her hairbrushes and left the room with frizzy hair.
'And your telling me to brush my hair hm?' Harry joked.
'Shush it's not like I can control having bushy hair is it?' She rolled her eyes.
'Sit down!' Hermione said.
She brushed his hair so it was usual and not so messy but was just like his dads.
'Thanks.' Harry said.
She put the hairbrush in her bag and left with all the boys in her dormitory. Yawn.
'Tired?' Seamus asked.
'Its 8 am what do you expect?' She said, rubbing her eyes.
After they ate, they went to potions and didn't look forward to it.
'Sit!' Snape ordered to the six of them. Neville sat with Seamus and Dean in front of Ron, Hermione and Harry.
In the middle of explaining, Snape asked Harry a question.
'Sorry sir..I don't know but I think Hermione might..' He rephrased from first year.
'10 points from Gryffindor!' Snape barked.
As class continued, the bell casually rang.
As Neville and Hermione stood up to leave, The class gasped.
'Granger!Longbottom! What on earth are you doing?' He barked.
'Uh..' Neville began. He looked nervous so Hermione just couldn't just make him say it for her.
'T-the bell rang..sir..' Hermione scratched the back of her head.
'Detention for both of you.Didn't you learn anything from Professor flitwick?!' Snape growled.
'Class dismissed.' Snape said.
Hermione and Neville walked out together looking extremely annoyed.
'He is stupid Neville, don't worry.' Hermione said comfortingly.
She hugged him and rubbed his back.
'Jesus Christ Neville, relax!' Hermione gasped after she found out how tense he was.
He sighed and relaxed a bit once she said as the boys cane towards them.
'Dang Hermione, Getting in detention already?' Dean laughed.
'Nan isn't going to be happy.' Neville sighed.
'Dont tell her?' Seamus asked.
'She is going to figure it out.' He sighed.
'Longbottom!Granger!Your detention is at 5pm.' Snape called after them.
'Thats at the feast!' Hermione gasped.
'Ughh!' Neville growled.
It turned out Hermione was staring into space for a few minutes and she was alone in the hallway. Once she snapped out of her daze, she realised and ran to Professor Flitwicks class.
'Miss Granger you're late!' Professor Flitwick squealed.
'Sorry I was um..' Hermione looked over at the boys for help.
'I was uh..' She gulped.
'You were planning on making and entrance?' Malfoy shouted from nowhere.
'Shut up..' She muttered under her breath.
'Detention, I will chat with you about it after class.' Flitwick snapped.
She sat down in between Harry and Ron.
The while class broke into conversations and began to practice spells.
'Ascendio..' She murmured.
'Right class dismissed!' Flitwick said. Everyone left but Hermione came and sat in a chair so they could discuss detention.
'Sir I have 3 hours of detention tonight at 5pm.' She said hoping he'd see and realise its just going to work her to hard.
'Right then you have 5 now.' Flitwick said.
'After your detention at 5 you will stay there for 2 extra hours.' He explained.
'Off you go.' He said as she got up.
She dragged her bag towards the doors of Transfiguration and walked inside.
'Miss Granger what on earth is the matter?' Mcgonagall asked as she sat down.
'Sorry Professor I was discussing my 3 now 5 hours of detention..' She sighed.
'Oh right. Carry on!' She said.
The class then went back to turning their buckets into hats.
Once they all left for lunch, Hermione only looked at her feet in shame.
'You alright?' Harry whispered into her ear.
She looked up with tears in her eyes.
'I'm never really alright.' She sighed and carried on walking as the boys just watched after her.
'Hey hey hey don't cry!' Ron said as the boys actually snapped into the real world and ran to catch up with her.
'Theres no point trying to hide the fact I have turned into a failure from being an innocent little 11 year old with no bad or rude in the words I said.' She sighed.
'Your not a failure.' Neville frowned.
'Your proof exactly?' She asked.
'Your grades are better than anyones in our year and most of the school!' Dean informed her.
'I'm aware that was before 6th year.' She chuckled to herself and looked away. As they sat down in the great hall, the boys and most of the school seemed to already be eating sandwiches. She nibbled a bit of her chicken sandwich but didn't feel as hungry as usual.
'Hermione eat before I shove it into your mouth.' Harry said.
'I'm not hungry, I think I'm going to wait outside of muggle studies class so I'm not late this time.' She sighed.
'Sit down before I literally make you eat it.' Ron said.
'I will just take it with me!' She said as she grabbed the sandwich and walked off.
'These detentions are really getting to her.'
Dean sighed.
'Poor kid.' Seamus sighed.
After muggle studies and D.A.D.A, school was over but she had 5 minutes left until detention.
She burst into the boys dorm while the boys were sat on their beds except Neville was fully dressed and was just putting his shoe on.
'Neville wait for me!' Hermione said as she ran into her room.
She came out about a minute later in a plain shirt and leggings with some trainers on.
'Lets go we have 4 minutes!' Hermione said as her and Neville ran out the dorm.
'Dang.' Harry laughed.
'Your detention will be cleaning Professor McGonagalls' classroom.' Snape growled. Neville and Hermione walked there looking as glum as ever.
They spotted a few muggle cleaning supplies on the desk Hermione usually sat at with Harry and Ron so the two picked up some spray bottles and sponges then began to blitz the place.
'Neville your time is up, tell the others I have 2 more hours.' Hermione said after 3 hours.
'I will, you alright and know what your doing?' Neville asked.
'Yeah.' She sighed.
'Oh hello Miss Granger I didn't expect to see you here!' Someone made her jump.
'Oh hello Professor.' Hermione said. It was Professor McGonagall.
'I still have 2 hours of this.' Hermione answered her confusion.
'Oh.' McGonagall sighed.
'Just two weeks of this and I am free.' Hermione whispered but McGonagall could hear her.
'Are you okay?' McGonagall asked.
'I'm never really okay Professor.' Hermione sighed, knowing its true.
'You can speak to me you know.' McGonagall reassured her.
'I-I know..' Hermione sniffled.
'Whats on your mind?' McGonagall said while sitting at her desk.
'I've literally been in school for a day and I am already having the motivation of a sloth.' Hermione sighed.
'Well I can't just lie to you can I, its just hormones. Your a teenage girl going through quite depressing stuff.' McGonagall sighed.
'Well is it possible to actually stop them from haunting me when people talk cra- rubbish about me?' Hermione chuckled.
'Who talks about you like that?' McGonagall asked.
'Hm well lets just say the Weasleys, You and the boys on my year are now my only proper family that actually care about anything I say.'  Hermione said, 'And Luna, Dumbledore and sometimes I tell Myrtle about my problems, shes not amazing at advice but oh well.'
'What about your parents? Your birth family?' McGonagall said.
'T-they don't really..y'know..Care?' Hermione shrugged. She yawned at the worst moment.
'They don't care?' McGonagall frowned.
'Its a long story..' She sighed. It was time to go.
'Well you may go now. Maybe tomorrow you can tell me all about that long story.' McGonagall sighed.
'Okay Professor, good night.' She said as she put the stuff away and left.
