Weeks passed and today was the last day of the holidays.
'Hermione!' Molly shouted up the stairs.
'Coming!' She quickly threw on a shirt, attempted to brush her frizzy hair so it was at least a bit neater, brushed her teeth and ran downstairs to sit down and enjoy the last breakfast of her holidays. When she went to Hogwarts she felt safe, at home. Warmth filled her body when she put on her Weasley jumped from last Christmas. She couldn't wait for Christmas. The classic music, warm butterbeer, the crackle of the fire that you often heard in the winter. She loved the gifts, especially the Weasley jumpers with 'H' on. She loved all of it. She mainly loved spending time with friends, that she liked to reference to as family instead, She loved all of it. It was the first of September tomorrow and she couldn't wait to get on the train and drive with her friends, or family in her case.
'Nice jumper.' Ron laughed.
'Its my Favourite jumper, you should out yours on too.' She said.
'Why thank you.' Molly smiled.
'No problem.' She smiled back, eating her porridge.
'No, Its way to small for me.' Ron said.
'Well then lets make sure you get an extra large one this year, hm?' Hermione playfully rolled her eyes. Once she finished her warm porridge,  the trio decided for the last day of the quite depressing holidays that they would go to the muggle village around Hermione's house.
'Right get your stuff and come on.' Harry said to Hermione. She quickly ran up the stairs and burst into Rons room.
'Bet 5 galleons she brings any sort of book.' Ron said.
'Bet.' Harry said.
She came down with a muggle book in her hand called 'The Lost Reasons'. Ron held his hand out to Harry and Harry gave him 5 galleons.
'Come on.' She said, opening the door without effort.
'So basically, when we get there we have to buy a pumpkin. They do massive ones that can last for ages.' Hermione decided.
'Why?' Harry asked.
'You don't get pumpkins at Hogwarts mate.' Ron laughed.
'Unless you ask Hagrid to grow 3 extra for us, but they'd be a bit too large.' Hermione smiled.
They talked about Halloween for ages on the way there while passing many little houses and shops that knew Hermione quite well.
'Matilda leave her alone!' Someone called.
'Shut up Ross! I haven't see her in ages!' Matilda called back.
The trio quickly ducked and sprinted off while her back was turned.
'These lot know me like family.' Hermione said as she signalled her head to a little shop.
'Hermione dear, how are you?' A teenage boy who looked about 19 asked once he stepped into the front doorway.
'Good thank you William, how are you?' She asked.
'Good, who are these?' William asked.
'Ron and Harry.' She said.
'Herminnie!' A young girl called. She came out and hugged her legs. The girl looked not even a a day over 5.
'Hello Natalie.' Hermione said, crouching down and hugging her.
'Helwo.' She said to Ron and Harry.
'Hello.' They smiled sweetly back.
Will and Natalie went inside as a man came out with a woman who looked like they were a married couple, mother and father to the other children they had just spoke to.
'Hermione! How are you?' The man smiled.
'Good, you?' She asked.
'Good, who are these?' The man asked.
'This is Ron and Harry.' She smiled.
The woman looked from her to Ron and her holding hands and then to Ron. Hermione and Ron both noticed and immediately let go.
The woman winked at Hermione as she went pink in the cheeks and Ron went bright red in the ears. Harry sniggered under his breath at them. Hermione as always ripped out a strand of his hair causing him to shut up.
'Blimey Hermione!' Harry groaned.
'Shut up then.' She hissed.
'Even to your own best friend your a crazy girl.' Will said coming out if nowhere.
'Will don't.' His dad said.
'We should get going, bye!' Hermione said, quickly grabbing the boys' hands and running closer into the village.
'Hermione, why do so many people know you?' Harry asked.
'I used to come here pretty much every day.' Hermione sighed.
The three of them entered a little cafe and the smell of toast and tea filled their nostrils.
'Wow.' Ron said.
The three of them sat down at a small table in the corner.
'Hermione?' Someone said.
'Oh hello.' The man said to the boys.
'Hi, Ron.' Ron said as he shook hands with the man.
'Hello, Harry.' Harry did the same.
'These are my best friends.' Hermione said.
'Nice to meet you.' The man smiled.
'You as well.' The man smiled.
'We'll just take some tea and the plain muffins please.' She said.
Once they ate and drank, they all went and just looked around. Harry and Ron were surprised it took her about 7 years to show them. They were going to be in their 7th year tomorrow, how exciting! Hermione, Ron and Harry all walked down a street and it was actually Hermione's street. She stood still and stared.
Little figures were moving and 2 incredibly small ones were running around.
'Oh Hermione don't cry, its alright.' Harry hugged her. She began to walked there, rather fast.
'What are you doing?' Ron said, running after her.
'I forgot to bring something.' Hermione said.
Once they got to the house, the boys stood outside as she went inside.
'AH!' Her family yelled.
'Don't you dare speak to me.' She muttered as she walked into her bedroom. She grabbed her teddy and stuffed it into her backpack. She began to search for her diary. Once she gave up, she left the house and began to walk with the boys, looking at her feet.
'I got what I needed but not everything. I don't know where my diary has gone.' She mumbled.
Harry and Ron immediately looked at each other, both with the same i-forgot-about-that sort of look.
Harry immediately grabbed his bag and passed the diary to Ron.
'Babe?' Ron said.
'Mhm?' She asked.
'Your diary is here, we found it on the..table in the burrow, we took it up for you but then forgot when Ginny asked to play quidditch so its been sat in there since.' Ron said as she took the diary from him.
'Right..' She said with unease. They spent the whole day in the village, visited a few people and went home after tea in a little restaurant.
'Home!' Ron called.
'You missed tea.' Charlie said to them.
'We ate out.' Harry said.
The trio went out and as they touched their pillows, they practically passed out into the deepest sleep.
