Chapter 1: Return of The Troublemaker

The soft footsteps padding across the gym as a certain short haired blonde girl carried a basket full of clean towels for the team. She placed the basket down before sighing out, feeling a bead of sweat trailing down her forehead.

Yachi Hitoka, a first year in Karasuno High who also holds the position as the manager of the volleyball boys team. Ith hasn't been that long since she started as the manager while gaining new experiences along the way as the team began to grow. Hitoka never knew that she will find herself having fun hanging out with the people in the club along with the fact that she runs away the moment she finds someone who she finds intimidating.

And volleyball players are mostly big and total opposite to poor Hitoka.

The team are currently practicing as usual when she went out to dry the clean towel under the sun. The blonde hummed to a song as she laid out the towels on the cloth hanger behind the gym before nodding in satisfaction.

"This should dry off by the time they finish for today." she said before taking the now empty basket and went back inside. Until she smelt the smell of cigarette smoke making her wince at the smell.

Wait. Cigarettes in the school ground?

Hitoka mentally freak out at the possibility of bumping into one of the delinquents at school. She should run away quickly not wanting to get involved with the situation before heading back inside the gym. Kiyoko, the third year manager saw her panting as soon as she enters the gym.

"Hitoka-chan are you okay?" the concerned third year watches as Hitoka stood up straight waving her off with a nervous smile. "I'm okay senpai! It was hot outside so that's why." she lied and luckily the pretty senpai didn't ask any further.

"Yachi-san!" Hinata Shoyo walked up to her asking for a water bottle. Hitoka quickly handed the boy the water bottle as he gulped down quickly letting out a satisfied sigh. "It's not even summer yet but I'm already this hot." the orange haired player whined but he didn't last long before a tall blueberry haired yelled his name.

"Hinata idiot! Come back here and practice more!"

"Stupid Kageyama! I was just taking a short break stop nagging me!"

Hitoka just sweatdrop at the interaction. She still haven't gotten used to the constant bickering between the freak duo.

"Did you hear the news Ryu?"

Nishinoya Yu, second year and libero.

"What news?"

Tanaka Ryunosuke, second year and wing spiker.

The second year duo whispered to each other as they huddled.

"Apparently he is back." Nishinoya whispered as Tanaka widened his eyes. "Oh shit! I forgot that he's back already damn how long has it been? A month?" Hitoka couldn't help but to eavesdrop at their conversation. Who is he? And why does the two looked troubled.
