Chapter 4: Not Everyone is Special

"Nice receive!"

It was another normal day for the Karasuno VBC. Everyday, since their defeat with Aoba Johsai the team has been doing a lot of practice. Like now the team is divided into two groups. Group Red and White.

Group Red: - Daichi, Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka, Kazuhito and Hisashi

Group white: - Sugawara, Tsukishima, Azumane, Nishinoya, Ennoshita and Yamaguchi.

But wait... where's our main character? Since the team now has 13 members and Rei is new to the team bond Ukai set him up to seperate training for him since he didn't do any proper training. The first time Ukai watched him play with the other first years he was too speechless to see how... aggressive Rei's gameplay is.

Aggressive enough to get himself disqualified which will affect the team in the future so to prevent that Ukai has prepared a different training for him.

"Meditation."

"Hah? That sounds boring as hell!" Rei showed a big objection regarding the training when Ukai first told him. The blonde coach just pinched the bridge of his nose before explaining it to the dissatisfied player in front of him.

"Listen brat, you can play. You have good talents in the sport but the thing you lack is sportsmanship. Volleyball have penalty cards as well and based on the match we did earlier you almost punched Tsukishima literally the first minute of the game. If this was an official match you'll get yourself disqualified."

Rei just scoffed and gave the tall blonde first year who had an annoying smirk on his face.

"Who the hell won't be annoyed with that beanpole?"

"Point is, you need to control your emotions and instead of lashing it out to the individual how about turning that emotion into the game?" Ukai sighed out.

Which is how Rei finds himself sitting in the corner with earphones in his ears with YouTube playing on his phone, a subliminal on calming yourself while Shimizu and Yachi sat next to him making sure he is paying attention instead of playing a game in his phone.

He did tried playing a game in his phone thinking Ukai won't notice but Hinata pointed him out as result the two managers sat next to him while the rest were practicing.

"Ya' have anything to snack on cutie?"

Yachi could only flush red at the nickname he gave her. Ever since he came back she noticed the habit he had for giving... interesting nicknames for those around him.

"W-well, I only have this coffee candy." scrambling to dig out the candies from her pocket, handing two pieces to Rei who took it with a shrug. Their attention returned to the match in front of them.

"Nice receive!"

Kageyama tossed the ball upwards as Azumane and Tsukishima immediately locked on Hinata expecting him to deliver the attack but the setter noticed their intentions and set the ball towards Tanaka instead as he jumped and spiked.
