Chapter 9: To Tokyo!

Final week finally came for the students of Karasuno High. It's been a hectic week for our volleyball team, especially for the four idiots of Karasuno.

Honestly, everyone has been busy making preparations. For the trip to Tokyo, finals, looking for donations and such. Rei never knew he will be involved this much when he first started playing but he finds himself getting more involved instead. Especially with the preparations with Yachi.

"Hmm? Is this the new poster?" 

Yachi yelped in shock at the sudden voice and sighed out in relief to see it was only Rei, he gave her head a pat and took the poster from the girl's hand, holding it to his face. "Oh? The tangerine looks good here, did you took his picture?" at his words Yachi could only flush red before nodding at his question. Rei whistled in amusement, "Return of the Tiny Giant." his eyes then spotted the little box underneath the poster that says the club was in need of donations.

"Can I take a picture of this with my phone Hitoka-chan?" asking for permission as Yachi just nodded at him. Rei took out his phone and took a quick picture of it before putting the phone back into his pocket, "So, I heard from Shoyo-chan that you're going along as well? Did the thing with your mother resolved?" 

Rei noticed the girl's behaviour everytime the word Tokyo trip was brought up. The way she'll look down, almost dejected made him worry a bit. But before anyone could notice it she'll brush it off, but Rei isn't just anyone. Yachi eventually found herslef cornered by the upperclassmen after practice one day as Rei asked her, she eventually sighed out and told him her problem.

"Yeah, Hinata-kun helped me."

"Man, that kid sure is something huh? Anyway, goodluck with finals tomorrow. I'll be going now, see ya' at practice!" with one more headpat the raven haired guy walked away leaving a flustered Yachi. This scene was of course witnessed by the whole student by the hallway, her classmates eventually circled around her with wide eyes.

"Yachi-san! How are you so close with that delinquent?"

"He's so handsome! Yachi-san can you introduce him to us?"

Yachi mentally freaked out at the questions bombarding here.

Finals ended and the team are still practicing in the gym. The weather is hot a clear sign that summer is here, yet they're still busy practicing despite the weather.

The team gathered getting ready to listen to Daichi giving his speech like the captain he is. "So, we've finished our exams, and starting today, Yachi will officially be joining us as our manager." he announced as said girl stood bashfully next to him, Shimizu walked over to hand her the black Karasuno jacket.

"Ready, and..."

"Welcome to the Karasuno high School Volleyball Club!"

The whole team chorused posing as they showed off the jacket as Rei just stood there along with Tsukishima.
