The lonely captain

Part 33

once lilith stopped tormenting levi with her words about what plans she had for him while they were exploring the woods she got on her horse and grabbed the reins and started making her was towards the walls. when she arrived she looked around making sure she saw all of the scouts so that nobody got left behind. mikasa looked around as well making sure eren was close by. spotting him she rode over and didnt take her eyes off of him as he got a tendency to find trouble. as soon as levi and lilith spotted everyone the gates opened up and they all started riding  to the outside area where the titans roamed and where everyone had to be extra careful and observant so nobody went off on their own and so if they did get attacked by titans they would be able to take them down with ease. 

with the horses galloping through the hilly area they did spot a few titans but they were far enough away from them that they weren't a threat. since nobody but lilith actually knew where they were going she took the lead and because she was riding the biggest horse out of everyone in the group she could be spotted easily by everyone. once the woods had been reached she smiled and started slowing down and having her horse walk through the area instead up running through as it was a beautiful scenery and she had actually found that the titans rarely go through the area so she knew they could slow down and enjoy the experience of seeing the area. 

the leaves were starting to change color as fall was coming around so every step the horses took you could hear the crunch of the leaves. there were still some flowers but she was more interested in a specific part of the forest. she smiled and went through a cave entrance with her horse and everyone got confused as they all thought they were going to explore the woods not some boring old cave but they all followed anyway as they didnt know where they were going, once they saw light coming through an area they noticed lilith start to speed up. because of how fast her horse was everyone could only just watch as she disappeared into the darkness of the cave only to see her outline in the light. 

what nobody knew is there was a reason she took them through the cave. the area they were exploring was on the other side.  she smiled and once she reached the end of the tunnel she giggle and didnt slow down and only sped up jumping through the side at the other end which went though a water fall and over a huge trench. she yelled to everyone to come over but to do it while having the horses run. mikasa looked at eren noticing he and armin were a little scared. she grabbed eren and pulled him onto her horse then motioned her horse to start running. going through the waterfall she reached the other side with a very shaky eren holding onto her. as soon as almost everyone was over to the other side armins fear started getting worse and worse so levi had to pull him onto his horse and take him over. looking at where they were everyone gasped at how beautiful and peaceful it was. there were no titans, a beautiful river going through the middle of it, wild horses, flowers all over, and a small lake with such clear water that you could see all the fish and everything that was in it.
