The lonely captain

Part 31

walking back to their room she giggled as her little one was on the floor playing with his stuffie. he was happy and content at the moment, as soon as he smelled the food he got up making grabby hands to it. "relax hun. come here." picking him up she set him at his desk moving all the papers so he could eat. "here we go sweet boy." she put his bib on and then cleaned up his crayons and paper giggling. "as much as I want to keep you little...we have to go beyond the walls tomorrow to explore the new area..." 

he giggled eating his food then looked at her with a face of confusion not hearing what she said being entirely focused on his food. he then heard her when she said it the second time and pouted. he didn't want to go anywhere but he nods. "i be bigs tomorrow mommy! I promise!" smiling softly at her he wrapped his arms around her neck kissing her cheek giggling happily without a care in the world. all that he needed was his mommy. "promise to stay close to me tomorrow ok...I dont need you getting hurt tomorrow...especially since you just got better..." 

once he was done eating he made grabby hand at her wanting to get picked up. "oh my look at you. theres food all over your face" she smiled cleaning his face up then sat him in bed rocking him. "dont look at me like that my little cutie. it makes me wanna attack you with kisses." he was flapping his arms and had the cutest look on his face. he was babbling while trying to tell a story with his eyes and she couldn't help but giggle and smile at him. this went on for a few hours just him in bed with his stuffed animal babbling to Lilith about random things. 

"aww sweet boy. so cute...now come on its time for bed..." laying him down she kissed his head smiling. "were gonna wake up early tomorrow and get all the cadets ready...and then were off..." he rubbed his eyes while letting out a soft yawn. he curled up with his plushie and his mommy letting out soft coos while he dozed off for the night. he did start tossing and turning in his sleep but soon settled as Lilith pulled him to her heart. "there we are...mommy's right here for you...just listen and feel my heartbeat...let it take you back to dreamland..."
