The Jewel of Atlantis (Ateez FF)

Chapter 2

 Once I stepped inside the Captain's quarters I had to shut my eyes for a moment to adjust to the sudden change in atmosphere so I could see more clearly, and once they did everything came into view.

Dark wood walls with red curtains, shelves with gold trinkets on top, and a bookshelf in the corner of the room was what I took in first. Next, I moved my gaze to see a desk in front of a series of windows overlooking the ocean, and a large wooden round table with chairs.

In those chairs sat a number of men. Two of which were the two I recognized from earlier, and then there were about another 4 more new guys. One stood behind the mullet guy, and the other three sat at the table with the other two. They all were giving me looks as Mingi and San led me into the room.

San still had his grip on my hand, which gathered some unwanted attention, and led me to sit between him and Mingi. All the men in the room were watching us tentatively as we sat down and began talking in hushed whispers under their breath.

And let me say that almost every single man in this room might as well be sculpted from marble and brought from the heavens on a silver platter because they were too hot for the gods to handle. Not exaggerating. Plus as a bonus they were all probably around my age.

I tried not to stare too much, and instead settled with just watching my hands. Then after a moment of organizing his thoughts the guy with the mullet cleared his throat, and all chatter heard among the men in the room ceased immediately as they turned to the male. "So everybody I believe we need to introduce you to a certain someone right?" He turned his gaze to me, "Would you like to introduce yourself Ms?"

I held my hands in my lap and rubbed my thumb absently over my ring again, "My name is Skye Holbrook. Daughter to Mr. Holbrook. The man you came searching for."

Mullet guy held a mischievous smirk on his face as he gestured to the men in front of me, "Well Ms. Holbrook these are the most high ranking officials, my most trusted men, on board this ship. You will come to know them on this long journey we have ahead of us."

Crossing my legs under the table I sighed as I made eye contact with the male, "I look forward to it. Captain?" I scrunched my eyebrows together and put a hand on my chin as if I was thinking about what was going on, "I'm sorry I don't believe you've introduced yourself to me yet. It is Captain right?"

A small smile played on my lips and the mullet guy just tilted his head in irritation, his eyes shining with a weird glint. Then he licked his lips and leaned against the table, "Yes. Ms. Holbrook you are talking to the Captain of this ship. So as Captain do you think you could enlighten me with that information you hold on that map?"

He smirked and leaned in even closer to my direction, "Cause it may come to a surprise to you, but it'd be nice for my navigator here to be able to know where we need to go." He motioned towards a man with blonde hair sitting across from me.

I took note that he was mocking me, and a slight blush of embarrassment graced my features as the mullet guy leaned back in his chair with a satisfied look on his face as the blonde man across the table from me turned to meet my gaze.

Turning around I met his brown gaze. He wore a curious expression on his face and it felt like he was picking me apart with his eyes where he sat. So I flashed him a smile before sitting up straighter in my seat and clearing my throat. Then turning my head back towards the mullet guy I began, "You are going to need to head towards Nassau. The man that has the map resides there." I glanced over to the blonde, "It'll take about 4 in a half days if we go at the rate we are going."

The blonde raised an eyebrow at me and another voice chimed in, "Is she right?" It belonged to another male who had black shaggy hair. Which was significantly longer than the other two.
