'haa..hoo..haa..hooh..haa..hoo' I breath heavily as we pull up into Taylor's parent's driveway here in Nashville

'Honey call down calm down..they won't bite' Taylor joked to calm me down which she unsuccessfully did

'Honey this is so nerve racking' I said nervously as I bounce my leg as she  parks the car

'You know we can still back out' Taylor says as she holds my hands tightly

'No let's do this' I said as I leave the car

We knock the door and it's Taylor's mom Andrea who I met two years ago when she caught me and Taylor making out for the first time in her meet and greet

'Hi Mom' Taylor then proceeds to hug her

'Hi Sweetie how have you been' Andrea says and hugs her as well

'I'm happy mom I really am' Taylor responded genuinely happy

'That's good' Andrea said in a low voice with a big smile plastered on her face she then turns to me and looks me up and down which made me nervous as fuck

'Don't worry I won't bite' She joked cheekyly I chuckle at her joke

'Hi I'm Y/n I don't know if you remember me but I believe you caught us....well..kissing about two years ago' I said nervously

'Oh I remember that was not a good first impression..come in come in' She said gesturing us to come in

As we enter the house I see a middle aged man sitting in the living room who I assume is Taylor's dad from my research yes I researched

Flashback

I'm currently busy researching about Taylor's family with my laptop

'Love you don't have to research about my family just be yourself' Taylor interupted my line of thought as she sits besides me

'Okay..I know I'm being a little paranoid about this but I'll feel a lot better if I research a little..It's what I did in our first date' I reminded her of what I did

'Oh God...I forgot about that' she said as she started reminiscing in her mind about our first date

She then looks at me and sighs

'Alright fine you can research about my family if that makes you more prepared and makes you feel better but don't go on the internet just ask me' she said as she surrendered

'Okay good thank you cause I think I got banned from a lot of fan pages about you' I said embarrassed

'How..how the hell do you get banned from a fan page' she said as she looked at me disbelieved

'I think because i kept asking personal details about you're family at an alarming rate' I said as i a clench my jaw

'Why didn't you just ask me' she said as she looked at me funnily

'I didn't want to come off as creepy' I replied

'And you think this isn't creepy' she said as she pointed at my laptop

I close my laptop and then i look directly in her eyes and say 'Alright I admit I took it a tad bit too far I'm  sorry for that but I just want to make a good first impression like in our first date'

'Well honey we're you this stressed when you were researching for our date' she asked curiously

'No..cause...I had a way to...vent' I said hesitantly

'Well what was it if it can help you vent..what' she said

I just give her a look instead of answering which she immediately knew what it meant she just chuckles and she then leads me into our room

Back To The Present

He proceed to go near me and he start introducing himself

'Hi I'm Scott Taylor's dad' he offers his hand

'A pleasure to meet you sir I'm Y/n  Taylor's boyfriend' I said as I grab his hand with a polite smile

'Alright boys you two should talk me and Taylor are gonna go finnish the food' Andrea said as she gestures for Taylor to follow her

As they leave Taylor gives me a worried look to which I responded by making my smile bigger

'So Y/n let's go to the porch' Scott said a bit menacingly

I nod and I follow him onto their porch as we sit down he gives me a beer we sit for about a good minute before he spoke

'Andrea told me what happened between you two..at least what she knows' he said as he looked at me with a serious look

'And what did she tell you' I said as I look directly in his eyes

'That Taylor left you because of the fear that her life will affect yours and that you got depressed because
you we're hooked on her quite fast' he said as he stares at the sky mid sentence

'Yeah but sir if you're thinking that I'm in a relationship with her to get revenge on her then wrong you're cause we're in this relationship because we genuinely love eachother and I promise you with my life on the line that I won't ever hurt you're daughter in any shape or form' I said everything from my emotions as I grew confident with each word I utter in my mouth

It took him about five minutes before he could respond which felt like years

'Good but that doesn't mean I approve of you two getting married' he said sternly in the entire sentence

'I understand sir and thank you' I said great fully as I offer to clink our glasses in which he clinked back after that we just silently drink beer in the porch

'Hey guys dinner's ready' we hear Taylor Shouting me and Scott then enters the house

'Did it go okay' Taylor whispers in my ear as we sit down on the table

'It went great we're in the a okay' I whispered back to which she gave me a smile small but happy smile I then turn to Andrea

'Everything smells delicious Andrea' I compliment her cooking

'Oh stop' she responded obviously embarrassed by my compliment
