Phil and Gab left in the middle of the night, it was just easier that way. Gab didn't want to face anyone, the shame she felt was getting the better of her and she wouldn't be able to look her friends in the eye.

Matt had to break it to the others. Shannon was pissed off, Shaun and Casey were just disappointed and couldn't help but feel defeated. Casey knew it was going to be near impossible now. Without their chosen one's powers not fully kicked in yet, they just didn't stand a chance. They were just too outnumbered.

Even last night, if the cult would have sent everyone Matt and his friends would be dead. He saw the hope go out of Shannon's eyes when he told her about Phil and Gab. He would have to talk to her later, help ease her mind. He knew even if everyone left and it came down to just Matt, Shannon would never leave his side. She was the definition of loyal.

Their powers that Casey was told about were coming true, if just a little, so maybe they did have a fighting chance after all. That's the pitch he would make to her to keep her spirits up.

Once again Milligan came knocking that morning. Matt instructed the others, except for Shaun to stay hidden upstairs. This time the detective wasn't asking questions, he politely asked Matt and Shaun to follow him down to the station.
This made the guys were nervous.

The detective let them ride together, along with Tyler. Milligan even let Tyler sit up front and let him sound the siren, which he was more than excited to do. A nice gesture that showed a different side of the detective.

"Haven't been in the back of one of these in a while." Matt remarked.
"Yeah, when was that? Three years ago?" Shaun asked.
"Yep. The shore, Phil's co-worker's party."
"What they get us for?"

"Trespassing." Matt replied. "The house was supposed to only house eight people. There were like forty in there."
"How'd we get caught?"
"We were the only ones that didn't run." Matt reminded him as he laughed. W
Shaun nodded as he remembered. "Good times, man."

The guys decided they were going to lie and hope for the best. They knew there were security cameras at Shaun's so there was a good chance Milligan knew everything and they were fucked. The plan was still to admit nothing until forced otherwise.

Milligan led them into a small room. It was a typical questioning room you saw in all the movies. A metal table in the center, two chairs on both sides, a hanging light above the table, and a double sided mirror on the wall. Matt chuckled to himself, he never thought he'd be in one of these rooms in his life.

The detective tossed his notepad on the desk. He hadn't uttered a word to them the entire ride there. Something was up. The guys looked over at each other. Shaun just shrugged. Tyler sat in the corner of the room drawing on a notepad.

"Last night, where were you guys?" Milligan started.
"My house." Matt answered.
"Can anyone confirm?"

"I can. I was there." Shaun said.
"Was anyone ELSE there?" Milligan asked.
"No sir." Shaun replied.
"You weren't at your apartment at all?"
"No sir."
"Well, you'll be surprised to know..... or maybe you won't, that three dead bodies were found inside your place last night."

"Jesus, what happened?" Shaun asked, pretending to be shocked.
"I was hoping you could tell me." Milligan said as he studied Shaun's face.
"Sorry, like I said I was at Matt's. I slept there."

Matt began to realized Milligan honestly didn't know they were there. He would have played that card already.
"Does this have anything to do with Bill?" Shaun asked, playing right along.
