Casey pounded on the front door. Phil opened it and pointed the shotgun in their faces. When he saw what was going on he quickly lowered it and helped them inside, eyes wide at the sight of Matt and his blood stained shirt.

"Jesus Christ." He said. "Is he shot?" He looked past them into the night, seeing if anyone had followed them before quickly closing the door.

"Stabbed." Shannon answered. "Get me bandages, gauze, and anything that can disinfect it."
She was only wearing a tight black tank top since giving Matt her shirt to stop the bleeding. She hurried him to the bathroom.

Gab was on her feet, again a nervous wreck. Tyler, who was still awake, started crying at the sight of his injured dad. Casey picked him up. She knew what he had to do, but she didn't want the others to see.

Shaun dropped the book onto the table.
"Damn, is that it?" Phil asked.
"That's it." Shaun replied.
When Shannon got Matt upstairs she put the toilet seat down so he could sit on it. He was pale and losing consciousness. He had lost a substantial amount of blood. The knife went a good five to six inches deep.

Casey came in with Tyler and Phil brought in the medical supplies.
"Guys I got this." Casey said. "I was in nursing school for a year after high school." She lied. Maybe if they thought she knew what she was doing they would leave her alone and Tyler could heal Matt without anyone seeing.

"Okay." Shannon said with a strange look. That was something she didn't know about Casey, but she guessed there was a lot she didn't know about her knew friend. Shame on her for not taking the time to get to know her, that was on her.

Shannon picked up Tyler and turned to leave.
"No!" Casey blurted out. "Let him stay."
Shannon gave her a confused look. Now she started to get suspicious. She was wondering why she would want a four year old to see his father covered in blood with a knife wound.

She gave in though, now was not the time to argue about anything. Shannon put Tyler down and closed the door as she and Phil let them be. Casey gently grabbed Tyler by his little arms.

"Remember what you did for your dad at the lake?" She asked him.
Tyler nodded as he wiped the tears off his cheeks.
Casey smiled at him. "Can you do that again?"
Again, he nodded.

"You're so brave, you know that?" She told him, giving him a hug.
She removed Matt's shirt and he winced in pain. Tyler took a step forward and put his hand on the knife would. This was no fishing hook. The gash was long and very deep. Blood was all over Matt's arm, chest and back.

Casey positioned herself behind Tyler. If he passed out again she wanted to catch him.
Right before Tyler removed his hand Casey immediately noticed the color come back into Matt's face. Then, after about a full minute, Tyler removed his hand and collapsed into Casey's arms.

She caught him easily. Holding Tyler, she grabbed a towel and wiped the blood away from Matt's shoulder. The wound was gone.
"What the fuck?" Came a voice behind them.
Shannon stood there, staring in disbelief. She had witnessed the whole thing.

"Let me explain." Casey said to her.
"What the hell did I just see?" Shannon asked.
Matt stood. He was as good new. "Close the door." He instructed her.
She slowly closed it and backed up against it.

"Is he okay?" Shannon asked, looking down at Tyler.
"He's fine." Matt answered before adding, "I think."
"But how?"
"He can heal." He told her, simply. "We found out and the lake the other day."
"We think that's why this cult is after him." Casey added.
