"Asahi is your name?"
The tall male fiddled with his fingers awkwardly as Shouyou's eyes ate him up from the outside in. There was no way he could move under such a strong stare.
"I can take this over if you'll allow me, Commander Shouyou."
Daichi placed a firm hand upon Shouyou's shoulder and dropped himself close to the ginger currently side-eyeing him. Asahi nervously raised a brow.
"Then, I'll leave this to you. I'll be around for a bit if you need something, and Officer Yuichi is at the desk just outside the lobby."
Daichi nodded in understanding and kept his hand on Shouyou's arm until he stood and it fell off with the help of gravity.
"C-Commander?"
"Asahi, why didn't you come with the underlings yesterday? Sugawara was about to go off searching for you thinking something had happened."
Asahi's leg bounced continuously thanks to his nerves and anxiety and his eyes glanced toward the glass door, where the sun was beginning to set. A fire was seen burning away at a building far off from here.
"I-I heard a rumor about Sakusa looking to find a suiter and turn the city into a monarchy, so I wanted to look into it. Uh, and he's holding a gala... All I know is that he's got Inarizaki and Shiratorizawa on his side."
"Not Seijoh?"
This was all news to Daichi, who had leaned forward with his elbows on his knees and a pique in his interest that kept his ears sharp.
"No, er, well, I'm not sure, but I think there's bad blood boiling between the two at the moment. The officer they took captive was supposed to be Sakusa's, and I have reason to suspect he's holding this gala to lure him there and capture him properly."
Daichi didn't have to ask why Sakusa would want Shouyou. He's amazing, unique- guys like Sakusa eat people like Shouyou up like a full-course meal.
Could this gala really just be to bait Shouyou into coming so Sakusa can take him? Why, exactly, does Sakusa want him so badly?
"... I'll let Shouyou know, but you should really talk to him about it yourself. Commander Shouyou... Well, he's a lot more chill than he seems."
Officer Yuichi didn't seem too interested in their conversation. Earlier today, he had joined Shouyou's solo morning training session and had overexerted himself in order to keep up with the little ginger. He didn't have the energy to pay much attention.
"You're a good guy, so, surely, Shouyou will like you! As long as you're willing to change!" Sugawara leaned in and tilted his head, almost threateningly.
