Life in a Paradise (Momo x Fine) (Vampire in the Garden)

1. Beginning of a Peaceful Life

A/N: Hello, author Off_Mango here. Finished watching Vampire in the Garden a few days ago and loved it. Although the ending was beautiful, it left me depressed. If you're wondering who Fine in this fanfic has been reincarnated as, it's the little girl that Momo was holding in the post-credit scene. Of course, I'm not gonna start the romance right away since Fine is only 3. I'm probably gonna start the romance when Fine turns 15. For that, there will most likely be frequent timeskips.

P.S. This is my first fanfic so please go easy on me.

Momo's POV:

"Momo, do you want to sing along?" Fine asked me, as if she wanted me to sing.

"Yes, sure. Why not?" I started to sing, while looking out of the window.

We were in a car, driving on the road covered with snow. When I'm with Fine, I feel like I'm the happiest person in the world. We created so many memories together. Happy, sad, emotional and even funny ones. I hope we could stay like this forever, free to do whatever we want.

As I was thinking, the song ended and my singing did, too.

"Your voice is as beautiful as always." Fine said to me.

"Haha no Fine, you flatter me too much." I replied, feeling somewhat embarrassed after being complimented.

"Nope, I don't. Your voice is actually beautiful. Oh look, we've reached our destination." Fine said with a surprised expression.

"Huh? Did we have a particular destination? I don't remember, though." I replied.

"Yes, we did. There it is, the paradise where vampires and humans live happily."

I looked ahead and saw a huge city. Its small walls were made up of stone. As we entered the city, I saw several elderly women knitting sweaters on a bench, laughing and talking merrily while doing so. But the thing that surprised me the most was that those elderly women included human as well as vampire women.

As we passed them, I saw some children playing with each other, in a garden full of greenery and colourful flowers. Again, those children included human and vampire children, as well. Seeing this made me surprised and elated to no extent.

Fine drove the car around the city, allowing me to see how humans and vampires peacefully lived in this city, but this peace was genuine, not like when we lived in Elisha's city. I could clearly the happiness on all their faces.

"See, I told you." Fine said with a smile, deviating me from my thoughts.

"Fine, is this true? Does a place like this really exist? Where we can live fearlessly?" I asked her, still unsure of this amazing scenario before my eyes.

"Yes, it does exist. But I think it's time....."

"Huh? Time.... for what?"

"Time for you to........ WAKE UP MOMO!!!" As Fine said this, she began to shake me by the shoulders.

"Wha- ?"

"WAKE UP MOMO!!! IT'S 9 A.M. ALREADY!!!"

I opened my eyes quickly and sprang up out of the bed. I found that a 10-year old girl with black hair was shaking me by the shoulders, even after I woke up. Her name was Laura.

"Whoa Laura. I'm awake. I'm awaaake!!" As I said this, Laura finally let go of my shoulders.

"Huh? O-Oh, okay." She said with a warm smile.
