A/N: Hello, author Off_Mango here. I'm back with a new chapter and as I said in the previous chapter, there will be frequent timeskips, so I hope you're fine with it. Also, this will mostly be a slice-of-life story with the growing relationship of Momo and Yuki.

Momo's POV:
"Happy Birthday to you~ happy birthday to you~ happy birthday dear Yuki~ happy birthday to you!!"
Everyone stopped clapping as Yuki blew the candles and cut the huge cake in front of her, with stars in her eyes. One could clearly see how happy she was. Aunt Sabrina lended her a hand as Yuki's small one was unable to cut the cake with a knife.
Suddenly, I could feel my eyes getting heavier. This must be because I'm tired after spending a whole night in order to bake the cake. Well, everybody's enjoying so I might as well go to my room to finally experience some sleep. Everyone was smiling and laughing cheerfully at Yuki's 5th birthday.
I quietly stepped out of the room and started walking towards mine. It felt like an eternity by the time I reached. Letting out a yawn, I sat on my bed, reminiscing about past years.
Yuki, now 5, though not knowing very much how to read and write, had started talking. Her small voice being adorable, never fails to put a smile on the person Yuki speaks to. She's also pretty curious about things like any other child. Whenever I'm in the kitchen, I'm bombarded with her questions like "What is this?" and "What is that thing on the table?". However, I didn't mind answering her questions at all. It's good that she's taking an interest in household work and learning more and more through her curiosity.
As I was remembering this and preparing to sleep, I heard a light knock on the door.
"Yes, you can come in. The door is already open." I said.
The door opened slowly, as a little girl peeked through it.
"Momo?" She said in a soft voice.
"Yes Yuki, what happened? Is the party already over?" I replied, confused as to why she was here.
She slowly opened the door fully and entered with a plate. It contained a slice of the cake that I had made. After seeing it, I felt elated to no extent. Did she bring me because she noticed I didn't eat it? How sweet.
"Is it for me?" I asked.
"Yes." She nodded, offering me the plate.
"Thank you, Yuki. How sweet of you!" I said as I patted her head, and a small blush emerged on her face.
"No, I should be the one to thank you. T-Thank you for making such a tasty cake for me!" She said nervously.
She came here all the way from the party to thank me? Words cannot describe the happiness I felt. I'm sure Yuki will grow up to be a beautiful and elegant woman, given how adorable and caring she is, right now. She noticed my effort and- wait....
"But how did you know that the cake was baked by me?" I asked, clearly confused.
"Huh? Eh, w-well....." was all she could say.
At first, I thought that Aunt Sabrina told her. But seeing her this flustered has made me suspicious. Could it be....
"Wait, Yuki, don't tell me..... you stayed up late to watch me bake the cake." I said, as Yuki's eyes widened.
Yep, looks like I hit the bullseye.
"W-Well, Momo looked really cool so...." She replied.
Cool? She thinks I looked.... cool? So this is what she sees me as and looks up to me? Have I managed to motivate someone? As I was lost in my thoughts, I forgot about Yuki for a moment. So putting aside my thoughts, I decided to focus on Yuki and how to reply and explain her in the most subtle way possible.
