Momo's POV:
I yawned and made my way towards the living room. As soon as I stepped in, my eyes fell upon the large bookshelf, which was previously found to have a few books, but now was almost full of them.
This bookshelf belonged to Fine. Last week when I told her that I would pay for all the manga she buys, she bought many of them, like so many. She sure went all out, huh? Well, not that I'm complaining, though. In fact, on the contrary, I'm actually delighted to see that she adopted some hobbies.
However, I couldn't help but think about how the bookshelf would be entirely occupied in a few days. Of course, the obvious solution would be to buy another bookshelf, but the lack of space in the living room posed another problem. Maybe I could place it in the bedroom? No, the dressing room and wardrobes take most of the space there.
Then what should I do? I don't want to make Fine upset by telling her to stop buying manga, just because I can't think of a place to keep them. Anyhow, I do have to make some adjustments according to the placement of furniture in either this room or the bedroom.
I'll think about the placement later, as for now, I'll focus on purchasing the required and suitable furniture for keeping all the books. Yes, that sounds good!! If I browse online, I might be able to find something to my liking, and it'll even save me the trouble of visiting so many furniture stores, too.
Having made this decision, I was about to head over to my PC, when my gaze shifted where a slight black line was visible on the wall. I walked there and on taking a closer inspection, I found out that it was a crack in the wall. However, the crack didn't end there, I discovered it extended even more.
So I looked behind the wall and was absolutely shocked after seeing that the crack was, in reality, much larger. So much so, that it made me doubt if the wall would even stay intact or not. I must quickly inform about this to Aunt Sabrina–
At that instant, a sudden realization hit me. Aunt Sabrina had been unwell for several weeks now, her health was deteriorating due to old age. She had been working so hard for our sakes, that she ignored her own health-related circumstances.
Memories of the post-war incidents flooded my mind. After the ferocious war between the humans and vampires had ended, Aunt Sabrina and many other caretakers were the ones who took in a lot of helpless refugees, including me. I was forever grateful to them. Since then, all of them raised us to be such wonderful people, and taught us all the necessary tasks of which one must have knowledge, it was highly valuable in order to become self-reliant.
Despite this, I never received any chance to repay them. I've been imposing and relying on them for who knows how long? And now, even after successfully standing on my own feet, I push any issues I face towards them. Now I feel ashamed, not being able to solve these trivial problems by myself.
Well, returning to the initial topic, there had to be done something about the huge crack. On further scrutinization though, numerous cracks similar to this one could be seen in different parts of the room. How did I not notice this before? At this rate, I'll have to buy an entirely new home–
Wait... new home? Realizing I just spoke those words, my brain was lost in thoughts now. A new home... doesn't seem bad. I was planning to perhaps buy a car. Due to that particular reason, I was saving my money. But now when I dig deeper, a car seems to be completely unimportant, given that I don't really have any need for it.
