"AUSTIN!" Aiden screamed from the other room. "GENUINELY, FUCK YOU!"

With a sigh, Maia slid out of bed and grabbed her phone from the nightstand. Underneath all of the goodbye messages from friends and voicemails from family members, there was the notification she half-expected to see.

AyeeeDenAlt is live!
FALL GUYS WITH AUSTIN & HASAN

If there was one thing Maia wanted in life, it was to have a single night of uninterrupted sleep. Between Aidens late night streams, basketball games, and training sessions, it seemed nearly impossible.

Thus the annoyance that clouded Maia's mind as she barged into the streamer's bedroom. Startled by the loud noise, Aiden spun around in his chair to face his angry roommate.

   "Heyyyy Maia...look I can explain-"

"What the fuck could you possibly be streaming- actually no, before you answer that, I want you to look at the clock on the screen and tell me exactly what fucking time it is," she said, glancing at the chat now going 10 miles an hour.

Ninjas28: MAIAAA
friedgr33ns: MAIA
HOt_Sooop: its rlly fuckn late
Mariwo: GO TO BED AIDEN

"...3am," Aiden said with a guilty as charged look.

After finally adjusting to the artificial blue lighting of his room, Maia saw the ungodly amount of boxes and clutter covering the floor and bed.

"YOU STILL HAVENT PACKED?!"

"FALL GUYS IS MORE IMPORTANT!"

"OUR FLIGHT LEAVES IN 4 HOURS!"

"...Austin says you're being dramatic."

"That motherfu- let me talk to him," she said, motioning for Aidens headphones.

Sliding them on, she was startled by the loud video game music and complaints of Austin.

"AIDEN WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT!?" Austin yelled, making Maia turn down the computer volume.

"Aiden why the fuck is your computer volume at 80%??" She asked in disbelief.

"Oh heyyy Maia, just so you know, I would never said any of that," Austin said.

"LIAR, HES A FUCKING LIAR!" said a deep voice, foreign to Maia.

"WHATEVER AUSTIN SAID, HES LYING!" Aiden yelled coincidentally from the background, making the rest of them burst into laughter. However, the man was too distracted to notice, now frantically shoving clothes into suitcases.

"AIDEN!? YOU TRAITOR!" Austin exclaimed. "Us gays are supposed to stick together!!"

"I don't think he can hear you Austin," the mystery man said.

"Shut the fuck up Hasan."

Hasan.

"Well boys, I'm sorry to cut this gaming session short," Maia said, even though the stream timer said 4:39:09, "but me and Aiden have a flight to catch."

"Yeah I've gotta head out too, it's getting pretty late here." Hasan said. Here?

Where is here?

"You're just an old man." Austin quipped.

"I'm not that old!" Hasan exclaimed. "It's like 12am!"

The west coast.

"Anyways, it's been nice meeting you...Maia right?" She couldn't help but feel a slight heat rise to her face when he said her same.

"Uh- yeah, Maia." She said, suddenly at a loss of words. "It's um...been nice meeting you too Hasan."

After a few moments of silence, Austin burst out into a fit of laughter.

"Aiden come end your stream before I fuckin do it myself," Maia said, eager to get out of the awkward situation. What the fuck was wrong with her?

With the largest smile on his face, clearly having heard the interaction, Aiden took the headphones off her head and took over the conversation.

——

"Pretty sure you're trending on twitter now," Aiden said after ending the stream and joining Maia on the floor of their now empty living room.

"The fuck I'm not!" Maia exclaimed, scrambling to pull up the app she rarely ever opened.

And sure enough, there her name was, number 10 on trending in entertainment. It's probably to be expected, especially after 55 thousand people witnessed Maia turn bright red live.

And over an interaction with a man, nonetheless.

Eager to share her opinion on the matter, Maia logged into her alt account that she used to tweet about things other than basketball.

@Maia_TP_Alt
I HATE ALL OF YOU SO MUCH

After hitting post on the tweet, Maia put her phone down for the night and went back to bed. It was probably for the best, other than basketball, sleeping was often the only way Maia could slow the constant racing thoughts in her head.
