Slamming the door of her apartment, Maia rushed to her bedroom to find a suitable outfit for the night. Something that wasn't too revealing, yet sexy, while also being comfortable enough to dance the night away.
Considering most of her closet consisted of basketball attire, sweatpants and hoodies, there wasn't much to pick from. As the piles of clothes on her floor grew as Maia sifted through her drawers, so did the time.
It was 6:50 when Aiden walked into the nightmare scenario.
"Oh my god, what happened in here?" He exclaimed, kicking a few sweaters out of the way so the door would open fully.
"I CANT FIND ANYTHING TO FUCKING WEAR!" Maia yelled, her voice muffled from inside the closet.
"Since when do you care so much?"
"..."
"Wait, this is because of Hasan, isn't it?"
"Shut the fuck up." She said, stepping out of her closet. Settling for a body tight dress that cut out at her sides, Maia headed for the bathroom to finish getting ready.
"That is so funny!" Aiden laughed, picking up some of the clothes off the floor and throwing them on her bed. "I'm gonna go wait in the car with Hasan and Austin, just hurry up and meet us out there!"
"Fine, but I call shotgun!" She called back.
——
It was 7:15 by the time Maia rushed out of the apartment complex, shoeless, carrying her heels.
She met Hasan's eyes from the drivers seat, laughing at her disheveled state as she ran to the passenger side door.
"Fucking finally!" Aiden exclaimed from the backseat.
Catching her breath, Maia buckled her seat belt and started putting on her shoes.
"A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!" She exclaimed, fiddling with the strap on her heel.
"That's what I'm sayin," Hasan agreed, putting his arm on the back of her seat as he backed out of the parking spot.
Maia immediately felt her face heat up as she stared at his side profile, highlighted by the golden sunset.
What she didn't expect next, was Hasan snapping his eyes over, catching Maia's stare.
Fuck.
Hasan held the eye contact for a few moments before smiling, focusing his attention back on the road.
"Where are we going again?" Austin asked, oblivious to the situation. Though, Aiden definitely wasn't.
Catching his eyes in the rear view mirror, Aiden grinned at Maia, clearly aware of what had just happened.
"It's a pretty hidden club that I usually take people to when they visit," Hasan said, ignoring the obvious tension in the car. "It's pretty fucking cool."
