The Dawn

Birdsong sang in through the window, as sunlight poured into the dim room.
There lied a pretty fox girl with raven hair. She stirred and yawned, rubbing her eyes. She stretches and sits up, her white fox ears twitching. She got up to relieve herself in the restroom. She washed her hands and dried them, after she finished and glanced up into the mirror at her reflection, azure blue eyes starring back at her. She started to get ready for her day at school after looking at her reflection.

She was excited since tomorrow was her eighteenth birthday and she was in her last year of high school. She changed into her uniform and went to brush her teeth after putting bread into the toaster. She finished up and grabbed her toast and bag, before heading out of her dorm room.

She was lucky to already have her own dorm room thanks to her father. She also didn't have a roommate.
She hurried to her first class for the day while eating the piece of toast.

Later that day during lunch she brings her lunch over to a table that sat two other girls. The girl with long blonde hair, green eyes, and black leopard ears and tail was Samantha. The other girl with short brown hair, brown eyes, and panda ears and tail was Sara.

"Hey girls," she greeted them as she sat down. Sara set her book down to look up at her, while adjusting her glasses,

"Excited for tomorrow?" Sara asked her calmly, to which Samantha interjects,

"Of course she is! She'll be an adult finally! That and she'll get her beasts mark' " Samantha smiled at her then.

Katy nods her head then,"I've decided that all I wanna do is have a quiet dinner with the three of us."

Samantha frowned at this," Oh come on! Katy you gotta go big or go home! Please don't go home," she grabbed Katy's sleeve of her shirt in a begging manner.

Katy rolled her eyes at this," Alright- ," her fluffy white fox tail swishes," If you wanna invite some boys or whatever that's fine, but they have to pay for themselves!" She added the last part quickly.

Satisfied, Samantha let her go and pulled out her phone, setting her plan into motion.

Sara sighed," A big party isn't exactly my scene, but I'll go for you Katherine, okay?"

Katherine was her real name, but somewhere along the way she adopted Katy as a nickname. She smiled," Thank you Sara."

Later that evening as Katy was walking home back to her dorm, she couldn't help but get the feeling she wasn't alone. She stopped and turned to look behind her, but there was no one. Confused and now paranoid, she briskly turned back around and hurried the rest of the way to her dorm, unlocking the door. She entered and closed and then locked the door behind her.

She set her bag down in the usual place atop her dresser as most people do. She walked over to her full body mirror and then sighed softly, getting her beasts mark tomorrow could happen at any moment.
From what she's heard it can be painful, but after it was done, she would finally be able to shift into a full fox and gain her clan's ancient abilities.
She was sole daughter of the Rose Clan and had yet to enter her full power. It was somewhat embarrassing as other Kitsune younger than already reached their full magical potential before even receiving their beasts mark.

She turned away from the mirror, that's when he appeared for the first time in the mirror. He watched her as she slowly undressed from her uniform and went to the bathroom for a shower. She hummed softly by the time she was about ready to rinse off.

"That melody... ," a deep male voice suddenly spoke in her head. Being startled by the sudden voice, she looks around and looking past the curtain, expecting to see someone; however she only saw that no one was there like she thought.
