The Midnight

The male demon looked at Katherine as she stood in front of the mirror in just a towel.

"You had a flashback?" He asks her calmly.

"A flashback?" Katy asks Eli.

He nods then," Tell me, what did you see?"
"I saw myself, but it also wasn't me. I remember a forest and I saw you. I was trying to tell you something, but for some reason you pushed me away and I didn't understand," she says, confused.

Eli frowns as he did remember that happening," And that was all?" To this she nods.
"We used to meet every night in the forest. We would dance to no music and talk under the moonlight. You fell in love with me Katherine and I you."

Katy felt her cheeks grow hot then, "I-I?! Me?! Fall in love with a demon?!"
He nods," Your parents didn't exactly approve, but seeing that no other suitor would hold his composure in front of you for than a minute, they were happy you had found someone."

"I do remember in my flashback other men ran from me... so wait why did you push me away then?" She looks at him in the mirror.

He sighs softly," I... I can't tell you," he says, a sad expression on his face.
Her hand turned into a fist then," And why not?!"
Eli looked away from her," Katherine, you're starting to shift out of anger."
Feeling her body become hot and intense she suddenly realized she shifted to her fox form. She bared her fangs and made a yipish snarl noise at the mirror.

Eli looks back to her and chuckles then," That was adorable."
Not thinking her anger towards him was funny, her body glowed a blue aura. Eli stops laughing and looks at her in all seriousness," That's it, that's the power you need to open the door."

Katy hit the mirror with blue magic fire, causing a crack. Eli watched as she continued this, but soon noticed using the intense power she had only just gained, left cuts over her body.
"Katherine, please stop! You're hurting yourself! At this rate you'll be dead before the door even opens!" He pleaded with her.

Katy narrowed her blue fox eyes at him. Despite the pain she was in, she was determined to honestly slap him for real. She reared and slammed her upper body into the mirror, causing it to shatter. She falls back and shifts back to her normal form. A foot stepped out from the mirror, then a second and a head, followed by a torso and wings before Eli was fully out of the mirror world.

He leans down and gently picks up Katherine, carrying her to her bed and lays her down. Using his weakened shadow magic, he heals her major wounds that would've killed her. He then gently covers her with a blanket since she was nude.

Eli sits down in a chair with a sigh. He had been locked in that mirror realm for so long that the air around him was difficult for him to breathe.

Katy stirs and rubs her eyes. She looks up at him and her anger returns. She stands up and steps closer to him, then slaps his left cheek very hard. In his weakened state it simply felt like he banged his toe, but on his face. He slowly covers his cheek with a hand and looks at her in surprise," What.... was that for?"

Katy huffs then," Because you didn't answer my question!" Her fur on her tail stood on end and bristled. Eli felt his cheeks grow red slightly and he looked away from her," I apologize... "

Taken aback by his apology, Katy steps closer to him," Why won't you look at me when you say it?" Eli felt her warm nude body so close to him that he lost all reason. He gently wraps his arms around her and pulls her close," B-Because I looked at you while you were nude...."

Katy felt her face grow hot in his arms, then remembered she was still naked. She pulls away from him and quickly covers herself with a blanket," Let me get this straight- you apologized because of that?!"
