The Lies

"Thank you all for gathering today at this assembly. As you know, one of our students has been missing for some time now. The unfortunate news is that another student at this school is the cause for his disappearance and death. I will not say her name, but authorities are searching for her as we speak. I ask that you please don't spread rumors through the school and if you wish to mourn Ryan, we will be hosting a vigil tonight at the cemetery for his family. Now onto other matters-,"

Katy couldn't sit still in the audience as she was worried about Samantha, and Eli wasn't answering her summoning.

"Relax, I know my brother. He's got her somewhere safe," Kali leans over to whisper into her white fox ear.

Katy nods her head, then looks back down to the Vice Principal as she brought up the Grand Magic Clash.

"Open enrollment will begin today at the beginning of lunch and you will have one week to sign up. If you know anyone who wants to participate that doesn't go to this school, please let them know to sign in at the front desk before entering the school. That is all now, you may return to your classes."

Later that day at lunch, Apollo and Luna walk by the sign up sheets.

Apollo grins as a few students had already signed their names.
"Well look at this, maybe I'll have to participate too."
"Maybe you'll get taken down a notch," Luna says softly, but Apollo heard her.

He grit his teeth," As if someone in this school could beat me in a real fight," he grabs a pen and signs his name, then hands it to Luna," You too."

Luna's azure eyes widened," Me? But I-"
"You are the Alpha Female. Your duty is to make sure some other female wolf doesn't show you up."

Luna sighs and signs her name, before the two of them go to grab lunch.

By the end of the day, fifty names were on the list.

"Hey Kitten, how are you feeling?" Eli asks as he sat beside a now awake Samantha.

"I feel like crap," she groans and sits up slowly, then looks around," So you took me to your father's realm?"

"It is the only place I can keep you safe from the mortals."

She sighs and stands up, stretching," Fine, but I'm starving."

"I can imagine. Since being here, you have been out for a week."

"A w-week??" She turns to face him, alarmed.

"It's only been a day for the mortal realm. Time moves faster here, so don't worry."

She raises a brow then," So.... Do I age faster here?"

Eli looks away from her then," Yes, sort of. Only slightly faster, but....I.... Realize you can't stay here for too long. Just long enough that I can arrange for your safety in the mortal realm."

She sighs once more," That explains Katy's belly popping so quick then."

Eli looks back at her," Would you like breakfast now?"
She nods to this.

"Katherine!" Harold rushes out of one of the isles in his private library to the center table where Katy sat with Kali standing behind her.

He had taken them back to Harold's Mansion the next morning to look for answers.

"I was looking through Rose's old notes a few months before her passing.... She mentioned a woman named Thana. She was trying to find her whereabouts because....," Harold looks at Katy with a frown," Because Thana was the current Fate Bringer at the time."
