Fierce wind blew over a field as a thunderstorm took hold over the land. Alone in the empty field stood one man, if you could call him a man really.
"Cathleen!" Eli calls out into the storm.
The year was 1524 and it had been at least a year since Eli had asked Cathleen to marry him. It happened all too fast, just this morning he was waking up beside his beautiful wife, now he was alone in a field with the blood of his wife on his hands. He falls to his knees and looks down at his bloodied hands.Cathleen awakes in the early morning. She glanced over to Eli, whom was still asleep. She smiles and slowly gets out of bed. Just a few months prior, life was hectic. She thought she was in love with Eli's younger brother, Kali. Little did she know he had used a healing potion on her that had a side effect as a love potion.
Eli and Kali had been fighting over her, despite her marrying Eli, Kali was very much in love with her still. Eli had taken to drinking hell's fire, a type of demonic alcohol and attempted to make love with her, but he was out of control. Since he wasn't in his right state of mind, he couldn't heal her like he normally would.
She walks over to the baby crib and smiles, looking down at their son.
"My little Kettu," she smiles as she picks him up since he was awake.
Kettu Dramon was an adorable little boy who had tiny white fox ears and eight tails, along with little white dragon wings with white hair and azure eyes.
Cathleen hums softly as she uses color magic to show different kinds of animals dancing in the air for Kettu to watch. He cooed and laughed at the lights.
Cathleen looks up as Eli woke up and walked over to them. He smiles then,
"We are going to get through this, you know," he looks down at Cathleen with determination in his sunset eyes.Cathleen looks back up at him with her own azure eyes," Eli.....We are going up against your father.... My only hopeful outcome from this, is he never finds out about Kettu."
Eli gently wraps his arms around the two of them, their son was about six months old," I know we can hide him from Mal," he gently kisses the top of her head.
Cathleen sighs softly, her azure eyes watering as she knows what she has to do. She gently lays Kettu back down in his crib.
She waves her hands and summons a crescent moon necklace. She puts it around Kettu's neck then.
"With this crescent moon necklace, I herby seal all demonic and Kitsune magic within this child!" She waved her hands in the motion of the incantation as tears fell down her cheeks.
In one flash of a light, their son suddenly appeared human. Eli pulls her close and rubs her back," This will keep him safe. Mal will never know about him," he said to reassure her, with this he had confidence.
After a moment, a small group of nuns and guards came to collect Kettu.
Not long after he was gone, Cathleen prepared herself for war. She wanted to rid this world of the evil that was Mal. As she walked towards the forest beside Eli, her white nine tails flow freely behind her back. Flashes of her recent past came before her. For her dear mother, for her poor father, and for her son Kettu, she would avenge her parents and protect her son with her last dying breath.
Kali shows up suddenly to try and stop Cathleen.
"Princess, please reconsider this! I can't allow you to die to that demon!" Kali pleaded with her.
"I've told you this before Kali. Mal needs to be stopped, I will be the one to stop him. You can either fight with me, or stay out of my way," her azure eyes glowed as her Kitsune markings appeared on her face.
"Cathleen, I can't-"
"Barrier," she says and waves her hand, trapping Kali in a magic prison. She grits her teeth as she felt the pain of breaking their pact rules with each other.
Kali bangs on the see through wall, yelling at her, but he could not be heard from inside.
