(You are still lost in thought as you ride bahamut. You glance at Astrid and hicca as they descend toward New Berkto land. Astrid eyes you and hicca sympathetically.They touch down on an open pasture by the shear cliffs, somedistance from the halted construction. You dismount andconsiders the village, then turns toward bahamut, whostirs, eyes downcast. You throw a glance toward hicca and Astrid, who nods inencouragement. You take a deep breath and round bahamut toface you)
Y/n: It's okay, bud. You and toothless belong there. With them. We don't.
(Bahamut cocks his head, seeming to understand. He coos, clearly conflicted)
Y/n: And that's alright. We'll find a way to mana--
(Suddenly, bahamut's and toothless' ear plates twitch. They look back towardthe open pasture. The wind rustles through the long grass. They raise their heads, curious.At first, they see nothing... then a gust parts the grassblades, revealing the Light Fury and the night fury crouched like a stalkinglionesses)
Hicca: Hey! They followed us back!
(Toothless and bahamut hop to their feet, elated. They bound toward them,tongues flapping in a fit of joy. They leap into the air andtackles them into the grass. They tumble down the bluff, headover tail, gurgling with glee. Hicca watches, beaming. She turns to You and Astrid, relieved)
Hicca: We might not have to say goodbyeafter all!
Y/n: hicca...
(Toothless and bahamut stand and gently leads the Light Fury and the night fury towardHicca, you and Astrid. "Our Home," bahamut coos. THey cautiouslyfollow, uncertain)
Hicca: That's it...
Ruff: Woo-hoo! Yeah!
(Suddenly, Ruffnut appears, landing on the dragon Grimmelgifted her)
Astrid: Ruff?
(She hops off, beaming and twirling triumphantly)
Ruff: Miss me?
Astrid: How'd you escape?!
Ruff: I annoyed them 'til they let me go!Heh, heh. So dumb.
(Ruffnut tosses her braids. You, Hicca and Astrid exchange a lookof concern)
Hicca: Wait. Grimmel let you go?
(She throws them a knowing wink)
Ruff: They couldn't handle me. See, everyone thinks that Tuffnut'smore annoying, but --
(Your eyes flare, alarmed)
Astrid: -- Wait, hold on.
Y/n: Ruffnut. Were you followed?!
(She gawks at him, blankly, then smirks)
Ruff: I never look back, y/n.
(Panic floods your and hicca's faces. You spin around toward bahamut, Toothless the night fury and the Light Fury)
Y/n: Bahamut.
Hicca: Toothless.
(You and hicca take off toward them as bahamut and toothless lead the Light Fury and the night fury closer)
Y/n: BAHAMUT!
(Suddenly, a rustle in the grass spins the Light Fury and the night fury around. They sniff the air.Alarmed, they shriek and take flight! But it's too late. A dart whizzes through the air and hits them in the neck. They tumbles to the ground, nearly sliding off the cliff. Bahamut and Toothless bellow furiously, rushing toward them)
