Chapter 12

She wanted a nice glass of tangy Valpolicella Red Wine, while she sat in a bubble bath and soaked her aching shoulder. Ash pulled her ford truck in back of her store. Grabbing the groceries she'd picked up on the way home and her backpack she headed up to her apartment dropping the pack right outside the office telling herself she had to come back down and put it in the office when she was done with the groceries.

She put away the strawberries and then glanced between the Valpolicella and the chocolate milk she'd bought. "Mmm both?" The wine wasn't chilled so she decided to have some before bed instead. Pouring herself some milk in one of her kids plastic cups she went into the bathroom and was half undressed when she remembered the office. "Ahh damn." She hurriedly threw on a white tank and some large sweats before walking down to her office.

She took the key from around her neck, it was like a small sun shaped pendant the only one of it's kind special made. After putting in the password and a retinal scan she pressed it into the lock. 'click' she flipped the light on and was about to open the panel when she noticed her a red dot blinking at her from her computer. "What the hell?!?" The only reason it should be on was if it was recording, and the only reason it should be recording was if someone had come in her office while she'd been gone.

Ash had spent years breaking into people's security system and she knew for a fact that no system was impregnable, even the white house, though that was a suicide mission she'd never attempted. However, she also knew that the right security system could catch everything on camera and make it damn hard for anyone to get in. Ash has put in a top of the line security system and she'd rigged her camera so that if she was going to be gone for a few days all she had to do was input that into her system and the camera would record anyone who attempted or succeed in getting into her office during those days. It was supposed to send her and alert through her phone.

"Shit, it's on silent." She usually only ever had a burner with her on jobs, however she didn't have kids when she'd done those jobs. She pulled out her phone and swore when she saw the flashing warning on her screen.

"Computer Breached, Home Breached."

"Fucking hell." Not only had someone broke into her office but someone had also hacked into her computer. "Great, just what i need, now i can't use the damn thing until i get Luthor to check it out!!!" She pressed the play button and then slumped down into the chair when she saw the member of the Bloody Wolves enter her office on screen.

Ash let out a breath when she saw that they hadn't found the panel but drew it back in again with rage when she saw them break into her safe and dig through her trash. A red blanket of rage passed over her eyes when she saw them bug her office. She dug through her bag until she pulled out her detector and started collecting all the bugs.

Eighteen, she'd pulled eighteen god damned devices in her house. What really pissed her off was when she found the bugs in Charlotte and Liam's rooms. She had to sit down and tell herself to breathe as she contemplated what she wanted to do to the assholes.

It was obviously done on the damn Chance brother's orders, in a gang, one didn't do something like this without orders from high up. Ash's jaw clenched and she dug her hone out of her pocket making sure it wasn't bugged before calling Luthor.

"Haya chica, what's up, something wrong with the truck?"

"Luthor i need you to pick up Charlotte and Liam from camp and keep them for a few days, I'll come pick them up when I'm done."

Luthor's voice took on a deadly tone, "What happened, who hurt you mia?"

"They bugged me."

She heard him swear colorfully, "Who?"

"I'll deal with it just get the kids, I'll make sure they are expecting you." She hung up before he could say anything and after calling the camp to tell them Luthor would be picking her kids up she took a deep calming breath.

"They want to mess with me, fine, I'll give them a mess."
