Chapter 20

She felt her heart nearly jump out of her chest,"Gabel, goddamn it, what the hell are you doing in my house!"

His head tilted as the familiar smirk slipped through the scarred face, "Ash what the hell are you doing in bed with an alpha and beta wolf?"

She studied him as she tried to come up with a good answer that wouldn't get her in trouble. He was lounging on her bar stool, a mass of muscle and black clothing. Small scars covered his visible skin, seeming to blend in to the tan muscles, if someone were to just glance at him the only scar that would pop out would be the long horizontal scar that went from the tip of his ear across his left eye brow and ending at the bridge of his nose. The knife that had caused it had barely missed his eye. It was the only scar hat seemed determined not to fade to nearly invisible like the other ones on his body did.

She remembered with vividly what had caused the slash on his face, she'd been part of the team who'd gone in to retrieve Gabe when he'd been randomly chosen and taken by a psychopath serial killer who dubbed himself the Jack of all trades and chose his victims for their mindless desk jobs. At the time of the kidnapping Gabel had been undercover in New York tying to uncover a ring of werewolves who had fingers in the trafficking business. The killer had been slightly surprised when Gabel had fought back completely unlike the usual desk jockey.

The psychopath had been dead long before the Ash and her team had followed his tracker and found him, he'd been bloody an unable to walk due to a splintered kneecap and a punctured lung. But he'd been aware enough to almost shoot Ash with the killers gun. What he'd done to Jack of All Trades hadn't been pretty and wasn't a sight Ash would ever forget.

That was almost ten years ago and although he still walked with a slight limp Gabel was still one of the scariest fuckers she'd ever met, which considering she gone up against a Windego was saying something.

Now he was sitting in her kitchen looking for all the world as relaxed as a kitten and staring her down with eyes of mercury.

She set her shoulders and walked past him to the fridge. "Well, one of them couldn't satisfy me so i decided to try two."

"Ash..." She looked over her shoulder at him with big eyes, "Yes."

He shook his head, "Guess who was found in a local motel a in the next town over, a hunter who had no clue what he was doing in that motel room."

She winced, "Mmm, well maybe said hunter should try not letting personal vendettas get in the way of recon."

He chuckled and took a sip of his coffee just as two bodies bolted into the kitchen, Colbalt grabbed Gabel by the neck and shoved him into the wall growling at him as Arrow pushed Ash behind his body protectively. Gabel to his credit didn't react like most trained hunters from the company would most of whom had been trained by either him or his father before he'd passed. Instead he simply tilted his head so he could breathe properly and looked at Ash with a countdown in his eyes.

She dove under Arrows widespread legs and got in Cobalt's face, "Put my boss down or your going to have a very painful next few days!" She attempted to push against the mass of his towering body, he didn't budge. "Dammit Arrow he wasn't hurting me! He's a friend!"

When he still didn't react and she saw his fangs peak out of his lip she tried a new tactic, leaning in she her lips brushing his ear, "If you let him go then tonight, I'll let you take of my clothes and lick me all over before i go down and suck you so hard you'll see stars. If your extra good I'll even let you take my ass while your brother pounds into my pussy." It worked, sort of before she had time to say anything else, Cobalt had released Gabel and had crushed her lips underneath his tongue took her mouth like a man possessed. She felt her body go lax as her mind went blank and she wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned.
