"Shaun I cannot bear this marriage anymore! I'm tired getting put aside just because of stupid commitments that you prioritizes more than your own wife!" Jennie exclaimed in an heated debate with her husband—Shaun Lee.
"I am doing this for us! can't you understand? Soon we will build a family of our own and I can't afford to give them just the bare minimum." Shaun fired back messing his hair.
They are quarrelling over this matter for almost 2 years and yet, here they are blabbering almost the exact words they're shouting every time they are in this situation.
The only difference is that, Jennie couldn't bear with it anymore that she wanted just to loose what is knotting them together—divorcing their marriage.
"For us! For us! For us! Fuck that us you are talking about. You are doing this for your fucking ego. Not even once do I feel that you're sucking up to your boss's ass for even me!" Jennie shot back that cause a total silence in their house that was gifted by Jennie's parents.
And believe it or not, almost 4 years of marriage they haven't even tried for a baby or hell they haven't even had sex like normal married couple do.
"I-i'm sorry. please jen let's fix this? give me one last chance please. I'll love you better." Shaun begged desperately, afraid to lose his wife.
Contrary to Jennie, Shaun grew up in a fairly average family and graduated in a highly praised community college, and later on work as an office worker where he met Jennie the head of Public Relations Department who's rumored (which is true) to be part of a high profiled family.
Well, Jennie's parents were never approved of her relationship with Shaun, but they couldn't do much since they want their daughter's happiness which led them to just accept whoever she'll marry.
Shaun was striving to have his wife's parents validation which led him to work his ass off in another company—which he transferred to before marrying Jennie— and as it may seem, he consumed himself trying to validate that he is worthy of Jennie that he forgot to treat his wife right.
"Just... enough please." Jennie cried as she force to get Shaun's hand off her luggage.
"Can we at least attend some counseling please? and if not I-I will sign the papers..." Shaun begged once more before Jennie walked out of their door.
Jennie sighed after fixing her things to her car and drove off to a hotel room. Because this whole moving out of their house situation was unplanned and just an effect of her sudden outburst and exhaustion of her husband's treatment like it was her last straw to call their marriage off.
"Hello Mom?" Jennie answered her phone after getting settled at the hotel room.
"I've just read your message. Are you sure with your decision honey?" Despite of her mom's disapproval to Shaun, her mom couldn't do anything but to sympathize and comfort her daughter.
"Mom, I'm really tired. So tired of all of it." Jennie sobbed which made her mom even more worried.
"But honey consider what he offered okay? and if that counseling didn't help at all and didn't change your mind. We'll help you get divorce okay baby?" her mother cooed her which brings much comfort to Jennie.
"Mom... can you please keep this to Dad first? please?" Jennie asked her mom which later on agreed to her daughter's favor.
"Where are you currently staying? Are you planning on renting an apartment?" her mother asked.
