"I didn't keep you waiting, right?" Lisa, said fixing the chair for herself."Oh, no you didn't. You're just in time." Jennie said softly before calling the attention of the waiter to give them the menu.
"I'm glad to hear that. But, I'm still sorry for being late. It's rude of me." Lisa shyly said before focusing on the menu list that she doesn't really need since she's a regular in this steakhouse.
"I'm getting the today's special and a wine." Lisa said and the waiter nod at her while Jennie ordered the same.
"Order will be ready in thirty minutes, please do enjoy our complimentary dish for tonight." The waiter said signalling the other waiter to serve bread and garlic butter.
"So about your housewarming party, I suggest you do what you want, serve what you want. In my opinion, there's no a traditional way to do it, just do the way you please." Lisa said right after the waiter left. Jennie heave a sigh.
"It's not that easy, I'm a indecisive woman who practically overthink everything. What if my guests won't like it?" Jennie asked in slight panic.
"Jennie honey, it's not their party, it's yours. You're a woman with taste, they'll like it for sure." Lisa said with a chuckle. Lisa meant it in a very friendly manner, almost a mother assuring her daughter that everything will go well on her 18th birthday.
"Wow, a flatterer. I'm not a woman with taste, remember my so called husband." Jennie said after drinking the complimentary drink provided by the steakhouse.
"Just because your marriage is failing doesn't mean your taste failed you or you don't have a taste. There's a reason why you married him, he made you fall in love, and falling in love requires standards that you may equate to taste. " Lisa said plainly while constructing bread with butter a part of the complimentary dish of the steakhouse.
"Well then, I do agree on people who says you're the best counselor now. " Jennie said doing the same as Lisa.
"Well, don't agree on them, we're still a long way from getting in the bottom of your marriage and who knows? maybe I'll be against you." Lisa half joked after swallowing her food.
"I'm claiming that your services are mine. I'm confident you know?" Jennie winked that made Lisa hid a blush.
Truth be told Lisa, is not your strongest soldier. She finds Jennie really exquisite. Goddess maybe. Although she's holding on the thin string that is always reminding her, competent caring for the Well-being of the client. And to keep everything pure business. Pure client-counselor relationship. As long as Jennie and her husband are her clients, pure business.
The steak dinner passed by they comfortably sit ther enjoy the food, the ambiance and their topics. As they say, all good things will come to an end, Lisa signal their server for their bill to be tapped on her account which will automatically be paid through her online bank that the crew members already know.
"Wait lemme pay. I kind of asked for this?" Jennie said im cute confusion on trying to convince lisa to let her pay and Lisa just chuckle at her antics and gently tap Jennie's hair.
"Hm you can pay for the other future dinners. Tonight's mine. Anyway, tell me more about you and your husband. " Lisa said and quickly redirected their conversation into husband topic that Jennie couldn't resist but to basically rant about everything she hates about the man she married.
Being away from him for almost two weeks felt free, like it's a relief. She didn't even cry after the night she got drunk at Lisa's part-time job at the convenience store which she failed to ask why this doll looking counselor woman is working there.
"Okay okay, relax now. Why don't we save that for the counseling session?" Lisa said as he raised both of her eyebrows which made Jennie giggle.
"Oh hi Mrs Lee." A familiar face greeted once they went out of the steakhouse, It was one of Jennie's subordinate.
"Hello Ms. Bin, it was great seeing you here." Jennie half smiled uncomfortable of how her subordinate address her as 'mrs'
"Oh who's with you? Can you introduce her to me, she looks just like my type." Miss Bin asked and whispered the latter part.
Jennie just smile and hide a roll eye. "Oh, This is Lisa. Lisa this is Miss Bin from work." She said half heartedly, uninterested in even introducing miss bin to Lisa.
"Nice meeting you. But I believe we should not stall you any longer, besides it's getting late. Jennie and I will keep going." Lisa smiled and shook Miss Bin's hand before guiding jennie to the parking lot, not letting jennie to say anything.
"Do you bring your car?" Lisa asked and Jennie nodded.
"Okay. Cool. I need to go, my shift at the convenience store is about to start. Take care, Jennie. Text me whenever you got home." Lisa said and open Jennie's car door for her.
"Take care too, Lisa. And you should text me once your shift start. I'll visit there one of this days." Jennie said and started the engine.
"Visit anytime, I'm willing to ket you have the break room once you're drunk." Lisa joked and Jennie just rolled her eyes before taking a bid and drove off.
