"Ms Manoban, Mrs Lee is now here."
It's sunday, usually Lisa is keeping this day vacant a time for herself. But since Mr Lee is persistent about having a counseling session as soon as possible, she made a way to make Mrs Lee accept a Sunday session.
"Let her in, and you can go now. I know you have things to do. I put extra money on your car's compartment just in case." the older told Ryujin as the younger one just nodded and went back outside to escort Mrs Lee inside.
As soon as the office door closed, Lisa took her time to recognize the face of an elegant woman walking to her desk.
"Good day Mrs- wait... Jennie?" Lisa's eyes widened as she saw who was in front of her.
It took her time to fully realize who Jennie was, but it wasn't difficult to remember the beautiful drunk customer.
"Oh... Convenience store girl." Jennie said, as shocked as Lisa.
"So, you're Mrs. Lee?" Lisa asked in disbelief as she thought Jennie was young and not yet committed.
"Can you please address me as Jennie or Ms Kim or anything?" Jennie asked politely while gazing to the ground.
"Yes sure, have a seat. Do you want coffee? tea? juice?" Lisa asked trying her best to keep the atmosphere professional.
"Tea please." Jennie responded while her eyes roamed around the office.
"Sorry for making you come here today." Lisa said as she placed a tea pot at the coffee table as she sat across the couch where Jennie's seated.
"It's okay, it's probably the same to you. I apologize, Shaun is just that selfish egoistic person to bother you persistently." Jennie politely said while occasionally looking at her wristwatch which didn't get unnoticed by Lisa.
"You have prior commitment after this?" Lisa casually asked sipping on her tea, trying to build rapport.
"Uhm, none but i have to fix my unit." Jennie answered before taking a sip on her tea.
"Uhum, don't worry, as i said we won't be extending the hour mark." Lisa said and after that there's silence which made Lisa worry that she started another conversation.
"Is your husband always late? He should be here minutes ago." she started a conversation, now, she's trying to figure out the married couple's life. Just to take a glimpse of it, so she can have accounts on what went wrong.
"Well, he is never late... in work."
"So, if it is not work related he's late?" Lisa inquired, trying to show how invested she is with Jennie's story.
"Well, yeah. He is always late to come home, he is always late during family gatherings and he's almost late on our wedding." Jennie chuckled remembering how she panicked when she figured that she arrived first before her groom during their wedding.
"Wedding? Isn't he supposed to arrive earlier than you?" Well, Lisa didn't think that the persistent to fix-his-marriage man was late during their wedding.
With the amount of persistence and annoyance the man brought, she thought that it was the girl who did something. But judging the story she's hearing from Jennie, and their shared memory at the convenience store the night Jennie got drunk, it was indeed the man's fault.
"Yes, but yeah. He's a shit, and 10 minutes late, because he submitted a 'much needed report' to his boss." Jennie bit her lower lip, "Looking back at it, I'm such a fool." Jennie then chuckled at her statement.
"Well, aren't we all a fool in love?" Lisa responded with a slight smile on her lips.
"Well, what if there's a person who's not a fool in love?" Jennie asked getting comfortable-again with Lisa's presence.
