Sakura slowly opened her eyes as she took a deep breath and felt her ribs ache. The blurred image of her vision began to take shape, but the pink-haired young woman still found it difficult to reconcile everything that had happened. She began to look around her, noting the numerous trees with large trunks and lots of foliage, the tall grass, the reddened earth and what caught her attention the most: burning and bloody wreckage next to her. She took another deep breath and now felt even more pain from slowly getting up.
His eyes scanned the wreckage once more and this time found a stretched out body, still attached to the seat it had been in before, dangling clumsily amid the carcass. She crawled over to that man and lightly touched his jugular for vital signs, but it was too late. Sakura got to her feet and continued to search for more victims with her eyes, glimpsing the devastation the fall had caused. She heard screams coming from afar, and looking in the direction they were coming from, she could see a huge mass of black smoke rising into the sky. That's where she was supposed to go.
He walked as fast as he could, feeling his body weaken, his muscles quiver and his bones creak as he moved through the dimly lit vegetation. It didn't take long for Sakura to find the owners of the clamor she had heard, and the scene she saw certainly lived up to the chaos that the newly graduated doctor witnessed set in among the people who survived the disaster. Some were screaming in desperation, others for help, but many were running from one side to the other, carrying bodies, random accessories, seeking to help those who were down and bewildered. The sand on that beach lay in soot, blood, and debris.
The doctor was static before the desolation she would have to face, and only came out of her trance when she heard a cry for help coming from a man a few meters away from her. The boy with eyes as black as his hair had his left arm almost entirely trapped under what was once part of the plane's engine. There was a lot of blood around the boy's arm, on his clothes and on his face. He stared at her as he gasped, no longer taking such pain. Sakura sucked in all the air she could before running over to him.
"Please help me..." he pleaded once more as he saw her approach.
"Calm down, everything will be fine... What's your name?" - She tried to distract him while assessing the situation the boy was in.
"Sasuke. Sasuke Uchiha." - He whispered watching the young woman. "You're bleeding..." he noticed the young woman's side of her back.
"Sasuke, I'm Sakura. I'm a doctor! Can you feel your arm?" Sakura resolved to ignore him. She didn't have time to worry about herself right now. Sasuke shook his head negatively. "Alright, alright..." she told him, but she was calming herself. "I'm going to try to lift this, and you're going to try to get your arm off, okay?" - She started trying to lift that hot piece of metal, but without success. She tried as hard as she could, but she didn't have enough strength in her hands.
"Stop Sakura, please!" He gnashed between his teeth. "It's hurting a lot! Sakura gave in to the boy's request."
"I can't do it alone..." She looked around for someone and soon saw a young blond man standing next to her. "Hey! You! Please help me here!" – The young man ran towards her in response to her request. "What is your name?"
"Naruto... Oh my God, I'm going to throw up!" - Naruto, the young man who had brought his cat by accident to the airport, felt his stomach turn as he watched the man's situation.
"Naruto I need you to help me lift this! We need to get Sasuke out of here. When I count to three, we get up and you" – you refer to Sasuke – "withdraw your arm as fast as you can."
Everyone nodded in agreement. Sakura counted to three and used all her strength to lift the metal along with Naruto. They managed to move the still-hot part of the turbine enough for Sasuke – who was screaming for not being able to bear such pain – withdrew his arm. Sasuke did his best to drag his arm away, but already out of breath, he ended up passing out from the pain he felt. Sakura quickly finished removing the boy's arm while Naruto did his best to support the weight alone.
