The creature was quick in its attack, bared its claws and aimed Itachi in the neck, but luckily he was quicker to dodge using his forearm as a defense, feeling the claws dig into a precise cut of the creature. He took two steps back and watched that man get even more furious, creaking once more before starting to fire several blows that sometimes were deflected, but often hit the boy. He was very fast and that was why Sasuke had difficulty in advancing against him, grabbing him around the waist and throwing him against the wet sand to get him off his brother.

Sasuke was agile in starting to punch the individual in the face, but he didn't have a left arm to help him immobilize the creature, which meant that there were no obstacles between the man's long fingernails and Sasuke's face. The slap was hard, and the cut was deep. Sasuke rolled across the sand after the blow he received and didn't have time to get up before the creature pressed his waist into its firm legs keeping him on the ground. This time, instead of thrusting his claws in, the man preferred to punch his face hard.

Itachi struggled to get him off Sasuke or at least draw attention to himself, but now the creature only had eyes for his younger brother. He started looking for something that could be useful around him and asking for help for those who were far away and luckily he was answered. Sasuke was about to lose consciousness when Sakura hit the man on the head with a rock. The stone was heavy and the woman's strength was surprising, causing the creature to fall to the side without consciousness, but that didn't stop her, she had to finish the job. She planted her little feet in the sand and slammed her skull four more times.

"Calm down, you already killed him!" - Neji grabbed her by the waist forcing her to drop the stone and move away from the bloodied scene.

"Sasuke are you okay?" - Itachi knelt beside his brother trying to rid his face of the blood. Sasuke spat out some blood before he managed to utter anything.

"I am fine! And your arm?" She propped herself up on her elbow and what was left of her other arm.

" I'll be fine." – Itachi managed a short smile.

"You can release her now!" – Sasuke addressed Neji, who was still preventing Sakura from moving. "She's calmed down already..." Neji released her, still uncertain. "Thanks Sakura..."

"You already owe me two..." Sakura approached and offered him her hand. Sasuke held her and with that she helped him up. "What the fuck is this?" – He proclaimed, noting that Neji's reports were not exaggerated: these creatures did not have genitals.

"I said... they look like men and women, but they're not..." Neji bent down beside the corpse. "We'd better hide him before his little friends see him like this."

"That bastard had the strength of three men!" - Itachi was still in disbelief before the creature. "You said you saw five more of these in the woods, didn't you?"

"I can't say if this guy was among the ones I saw sleeping... it could be someone else... there could be several of these around."

"It's going to be dark soon, so we'd better hide the body soon and tend to these wounds before nightfall." Sakura put Sasuke's arm around her neck helping him to walk.

Sasuke hated the feeling of looking weak, but he didn't want to walk away from the girl. He liked the energy he had to take care of people and was learning to enjoy their company. Her appearance pleased him, her voice was sweet and her eyes kind. She was different from the women he was used to dealing with. Sasuke and Itachi followed the doctor to her small makeshift infirmary. She took care of the eldest first, at Sasuke's own request, after finishing the dressings, she paid attention to the youngest. Itachi withdrew.

"If you keep hurting yourself like this, you're going to die!" Sakura scolded him as she cleaned her face and the wound on it. "Soon all my resources will run out from patching you up so much."
